Totally agree, Brydo. It’s probably much cheaper for manufacturers to make things electronic, rather than mechanical, but safety appears to have come a poor second.
Most people are right handed, so trying to use these electronic controls means using your lesser able hand to select the correct function, having first taken your eye off the road to see where the correct button is. It only needs a bumpy road and your finger flies all over the place and heaven knows what button you actually hit. Manufactures say to use voice control, but I’ve yet to find on that works correctly all the time.
