Your old 2011 BP gas pulse charger will not meet the current compliance regulation, BP will probably refuse to change the lead from type 1 to type 2.
An alternative would be PodPoint i used them the whole experience was simple and seamless, you are now looking at £500 including the grant.
Your local CEF electrical sell some very nice EV chargers and would probably sell you a Type 2 male connector.
EV cables on line will sell you a new type 2 socket for £55.00, to be legal and not invalidate your EV manufactures warranty you will then need a friendly sparky to fit it and sign it off.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
