Decades ago had a holiday in Corfu – long before it became so commercialised: flew out in a 707, that’s how long ago it was. Hotel looked out over a ten-mile or so stretch of sea on to the mountains of the mainland (Romania?). One night we were treated to most spectacular lightning storm over the mountains. Went on for ages and lit the sky again and again with amazing patterns of incredible power. Always promise myself that if we get one like that here, I will jump in the car and whizz down to beach to watch the fireworks. May actually do it next time. ⚡
