Brydo, all salesmen do this as they can be difficult to set up. It’s their way of ticking a box to say they’ve ’set it up’.
The app has remote start, driving journal (stats), you can lock the doors with it and if you leave the car unlocked, it will tell you and you can send destinations to the car’s sat nav.  It’s the best app I’ve seen. (BMW and Mercedes are the others I’ve used)

The problem can be with set up. It actually took me two days and many hours to finally get it to connect but now that’s done, it is brilliant. Many give up on it and leave it.
You should have been given a set up sheet with the car. It will take a good while so allow some time and take lots of coffee with you.
The sheet will also mention that you may need to use your phone as a hotspot for the car to ‘kickstart’ the system to life. If you have an issue at this stage, it’s important to do this. Once I’d managed to do this and finally saw the globe symbol top left of the Sensus screen (this tells you the car is connected to the internet), and then disconnected the phone as a hotspot and tried again to connect the car to the internet using the sim, it all fell into place.

I’ve read of some who can’t get past this and so just continue to use the app using their phone as a hotspot.
The car sim subscription is also active for the three years of the lease which is a great touch by Motability.

All app subscriptions are for the length of the Motability lease. My BMW was as well.
I think Motability have been really good doing this as it is an extra at the end of the day.

? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
