I’m pleased Tesla are doing a cheaper model I just hope they get their quality up a notch or five, the fit and finish is pretty awful for cars costing so much
I think that I see Tesla as more of an innovator & driver towards mass EV adoption rather than simply a manufacturer, Elon Musk was talking about some of the vehicle castings & using the batteries as structural components last night, not a massive part of his address but it was in there.
The fit & finish of Tesla cars has improved but you’re right, they’re not great yet, but if fossil car manufacturers want to concentrate on the fit of the panels then they’ll be left for dead so will become irrelevant anyway.
