The R Line has what VW term Sports Suspension which makes the car sit slightly lower than the other models and is slightly firmer in the ride.
£850 will buy you adaptive suspension (VW call this Dynamic Chassis Control) which soften/hardens the suspension to three settings, Sport, Normal and Comfort. ??
