@kezo it would be nice to know if they have a reputation good or bad and if anything in their plurb stands out as a problem and if compared directly with the givenergy 13.5kwh how it stands up? @Willis I’ve been reading up about the size of battery required to run a house my size including an Air Source Heat Pump and 20+ kwh seems to be a range that is quoted. I initially was looking at the 15.5 kWh but as my research progressed 20kwh+ seemed optimal however the price was high. When I came across this one I thought it was too good to be true and wanted to find out more.
I was pushed towards an 8kwh battery during the one quote I have had for solar but was told that would only do ‘most of what I wanted’ with no other justification for the size recommended.

That all sounds very good but you obviously have far more specialist knowledge that I do. I have had someone give me a quote for solar with battery storage but just felt uneasy with how they were trying to push me to sign up there and then, but two things that have stuck in my mind about their visit was how they pushed how good battery storage would be in our circumstances and how much different batteries could vary in quality and potential life. They also tried to baffle me with weights of different batteries and how crucial it could be in relation to size, especially as the installation would mostly be going into the loft, so I was just curious what sort of weight a 15kwh battery would be.
Battery prices have been predicted to fall over the past years but I couldn’t believe the price of this home battery. It is almost half the price of the battery I was looking at (givenergy 15.5 all in one). Theres virtually no info on this battery and there are a few omissions compared to the givenergy but the price is really interesting. In my situation this, on its own, would pay for itself in about six/seven years maybe sooner depending on future electricity prices.
Battery prices do seem to be tumbling over the last few months as investment begins to reveal new processes.
15.5 is a big battery. If this year turns out anything like last did then I’ll need to be doing all my repenting on the Monday after, usually accompanied by a week in the doghouse due to not being able to bite my tongue about what I think of a few of the in-laws! ?

I’m not sure that information is available. I’ve never been asked or provided any details relating to my disability in any correspondence to Motability other than my entitlement to PIP.

I’ve just read that the stewards have handed Alonso a 20 second penalty for today’s race and also deducted 3 points for deliberately causing the George Russell accident.
Got up this morning and watched a replay of the Australian Grand Prix which was on in the early hours, on the Now TV app. It was a great race, George Russell crashed on the opening lap, Max Verstappen won and Lewis Hamilton came second. A few hours later I was on an internet news site and read that Russell had a major crash on the last lap. I don’t think so, thought I. Oh yes, turns out I watched the 2023 Australian Grand Prix!!!

I think you are right. My local dealer hasn’t put anything on their website yet but are sending emails out to existing Motability customers (They sell two other brands already on Motability) with teasers about some exciting news coming in April.
Bit cheeky but does anyone know if Motability will pay for replacement keys? I’ve managed to lose a set of keys, including for the car. I’d guess I’ll need the old key deleted from the car, a new key provided and programmed. Sounds like a £300 minimum to me. Anyone been through this before?
Try calling the AA Key Assist team on 0330 162 3098 and they will give you a quote over the phone for coming out and cutting and programming a new key. You don’t have to be a member. They were less than half the cost of a main dealer quote for me.

My Galaxy has a two year service cycle. I tried booking it in with Ford after 12 months and was told it just needed an oil change at 12 months, service at 2 years, then again at 4 years, although it did have to go in at 3 years for an MOT. Motability confirmed this was correct.

We have been talking about moving a bit further south (west-ish) for about a year now to be closer to our son and daughter, as they both settled down that way with jobs. Although we have discussed going the whole way to the coast, I’d happily go for the lower Severn valley!Sorry, meant to write Ironbridge but brain was a bit slow to catch up as we went down to Bridgenorth on the same day! Only a bit further up river though.
I’m jealous that you live in the Severn Valley Pops, it’s somewhere that I love and spend lots of time, fishing or just touring around.
