Got the pro this end had it a few years now much easier to use takes seconds to plug in and unplug.  No more fighting with the supplied cables with this.

Yeah you’re right they’ve refused it but did have this to say about mileage.

“By the time your renewal window comes around, we will have a more streamlined process in place for customers who require additional mileage, but in the meantime you are welcome to keep an eye on the website for updates on what this may look like.”

Luckily we’re not due to renew until June 2028 so it’s wait and see again.

Has anyone submitted a FOI request to see what the mileage proportions are?

Great!!  Well come renewal time in 2 years I think we’ll be leaving the scheme. 10,000 miles just isn’t going to cut it shopping is a 26 mile round trip and hospitals can be up to 150.  All these extra charges plus the 3p a mile EV tax just too much

We’ve been on the scheme since 2001 and I think we started at 10k then and had to pay £100 then.

There’s been quite a few videos on the tube etc, comparing B to D, and unless it’s a very long journey then won’t make much of a difference at all between the two.  Personally I just leave mine in D and auto regen.

Wipers nothing more than what @Rich44 said.

              Cheers

This one shows costs and style but doesn’t say if the cost is installed or not.  £899 untethered and £999 tethered.

Have the Ohme Pro and have it set to add 100% by 5am.  Never had a problem yet.

Out of the list and what’s available at the moment I’d definitely go for the Enyaq 85X Sportline Estate.  The Scenic was okay but the boot is very deep to put things in and out of, and not on the scheme at the moment.  The new 85X has massage seat as well which may help.

                      Unfortunately, their T&C say this

If a windscreen chip we work on becomes a crack during our attempted repair, you will need a replacement windscreen. In that case you will have to pay any additional excess due for a replacement.

                      Sorry for the bad news

Ordered my first ever Motability car yesterday…. Drum roll… elroq 85 Sportline [Maxx] options : driver pack (DCC) The Škoda website doesn’t give the option of the driver pack, but the downloadable brochure does (so the confusion continues). The dealer was able to select it on his screen. Will be keeping an eye on it for the next week to see if it gets rejected or not because of the driver pack. Especially now with this rumour that the car might be coming off the list for a quarter.

Great choice only thing I would say is that in the event of a total loss you won’t get the cost of the driver pack paid out.

ah thanks for that – i’d seen on thr motability site and skodas site that the sportive 85x now comes in 2 varieties regular and MAXX and they removed some of the feature HUD etc from the regular – when we ordered it the sport line was the top spec – and what they won’t tell me is what is going to arrive – they assure me in legalise that to the best of their understanding it is what we ordered – i just don’t want to get into an argument on the exchange – if it’s missing something we need or expected – the salesman was awful too tbh impolite and wanted to get into a debate about what things were the deal breaker – i also feel an bit aggrieved as they asked us for a deposit which we gave and then when i contracted motability about another matter they said we didn’t need to have put a deposit down – so i’ve started off on the back foot, first skoda we’ve had and im already bothered if that makes sense – the change apparently is because of the VRS coming out

None of the features have been removed from the 85X. Skoda now offers a Sportsline 85, but this isn’t part of the scheme.  The 85X with Maxx is as it says the 85x plus Maxx package, which is normally a £1700 add on so a great deal if you want or need it.

The AWD is only active in Traction mode up to 20 mph but will kick in at any time when it’s needed in any mode.

Get your order number from your dealer and then if you use Live Chat you can find out exactly where it is in the system eg, ours is at build code 20 stage 3 which is bodyshop.

Thanks for the idea of using Live Chat, unfortunately I haven’t found Live Chat on the Skoda web site, only Ask Laura else phone them directly which I’ve done without success, both just directed back to my dealer. It would seem that I am not alone in having difficulty finding Live Chat, I have been told that it’s somewhat a bit hit and miss for whether it will show up on the web page! Having said that, there is an option within Ask Laura “chat with a human” but that’s not working at present ……….. perhaps I’m having a blond moment, no disrespect to blonds, I’ll try again later!

Only works I’ve found between 9am and 5:30pm you do the Live chat, chat with a human which takes you to a different page and at the nottom right theres a chat bubble and go from there and then when they tell you to call your dealer just say you can’t at the moment but you will need your 8 digit order number.  Used it earlier today

Ordered our moon white facelift a week ago told handover on may 30th. It’s at the docks in Germany at present.

…………. is it still on for Friday? I do hope you get it then. It is almost unbelievable that you have managed to obtain one so quickly, my dealer can’t tell me anything about my car apart from scheduled for build week 17 (week commencing 21 April) ……….. has it been built, who knows my dealer doesn’t! ………… I think its a case of “Computer says No”

I have a feeling that it’ll be one of those things that you use once and then that’s it, might be handy if somebody boxes you in, controlling it via phone to get you out.  Have a FL Enyaq with Maxx on order so will wait and see when it comes.

Just gone through this, and the 90 day rule now is set in stone.  As for the grant this has to be applied for again and you will be refunded your AP pro rata.  The 14 and 90 day time scales are from the date they inform you, but if you apply for the grant they do add additional time while you apply for it.

Had a very near bad accident last night in the enyaq, road closed on way home from a long journey last night diverted down back roads of Scotland and some dafty in a big X5 m sport flying round the corner of a blind bend on wrong side of road, missed me by millimetres and forced us into the ditch full car with 3 kids in. Skoda didn’t throw any collision warnings, both passenger side tires tore side walls out, alloys damaged of which were immaculate after 13 months of driving, 6 hours in pitch black waiting on rac who recovered it back to home town. Car didn’t even throw any tire pressure warnings even though they are almost inside out! Should I be concerned about that? will have car checked over today by local Motability approved mcconnechys as no kwik fits within 100 miles, or should I call rac to come back out to it? Unsure if there’s any suspension damage or alloys are buckled etc

Had the same happen in our Renault Scenic which ended up being a write off due to a scratch on the battery casing although to look at you couldn’t tell it would be that bad just a completely flat tyre and trashed alloy.  First thing needed would be a call to Direct Line and then go from there as damage may not be visible.  Stay safe and hope you’re all okay.

Asked Octopus about dynamic charging pricing and if I plug in at any time does the lower rate still work this is the answer:

“As we’re connected through your Ohme charger this should be absolutely fine, but if you have any queries about your bill once this is issued to you please let us know and we’ll investigate ASAP.”

So plug in whenever you want to and then if they decide to charge through dynamic charging then it’s fine.  We have ours set to add 100% by 5am so plugin when we are at home and leave it to itself.  This was the example I gave them and the answer above.
