I have a Kuga Titanium X 1.5 Eco Auto AWD and the fuel consumption is lousy.  Typically 14 – 18 mpg for the local journeys we do.  Quoted urban is 24-28.  We had the Kuga 2.0 TDCi manual prior to this and were getting 25-30 doing exactly the same travelling.  Expected a hit switching to petrol and auto but this stings.

Crikey.  I’d be heartbroken and ashamed if I took my car back in less than near perfect condition.  I want that good condition bonus towards the next car each time and I have this old fashioned thing called PRIDE and RESPECT.    An earlier poster suggested abusers of the scheme should be banned from subsequent leases. I totally agree.  I had company cars most of my working life.  I’d have been sacked for abusing, what were often leased, vehicles in that manner.

That’s one selfish ramble Dave. I have no need or desire to drive an automatic but I do have other needs that are met by the choice of vehicles on the scheme and the highest AP I’ve paid so far (3rd car) has been £300

Kuga. Been a great car and I would have another but for a couple of reasons. AP was £300 when I got this. Equivalent spec is now £1200. Secondly I’ve had a hoist fitted to lift in wheelchair and it’s a tight squeeze so need a wider boot and tailgate. Finally I’m large and the steering wheel rubs tummy and thighs even at best adjustment.

Will be sad to let the big cat go in September

Goldmember that rhetoric of bogus claims has been disproved over and over and over. The only people who want that rubbish to stay in the public demain is the government as the anti-claimant feeling it promotes helps push through the welfare reduction agenda with minimum outcry.

    UPDATE

Visited Arnold Clarks Peugoet in Huddersfield. Brilliant staff. However even though the 5008 is bigger than my Kuga I could not get in. Door shape and size and the position of the seat are no go.

Evans Halshaw Batley – useless. Numerous calls and emails not returned. False promises to arrange test drive and information.

Evans Halshaw Huddersfield – Brilliant staff. Galaxy worse for space between me and the steering wheel compared to Kuga

D M Keith Skoda Huddersfield – Helpful staff but my wife didnt even bother getting me to try the Kodiak. She said the door is awkward shape and steering clearance was obviously inadequate. Said it was a shame as she loved the car otherwise

Loads to look at there. Some of which I’ve already considered some new leads. Much appreciated. I will, when I have the final solution, communicate it. I’m sure there are others who have had and will have this problem

And dont let my issue put anyone off the Galaxy. My wife test drove and said it was perfect otherwise

£3750 AP – for a Skoda? When it’s taken me 2 yrs to scrape together £1800 to try to secure a Galaxy at my next change. Thay having a laugh? This is a depressing direction for the scheme
