ParticipantHi Tim,
I owned a 2.0 petrol Q5 last year and it had a 7 speed DSG just like the DSG Tiguan which I’m now driving. Audi use the same gearbox in the 2.0 diesel. Audi do use an 8 speed tiptronic in the 3.0 v6 SQ5.

ParticipantYes the DSG is the same as the Audi Q5

What do you get in premium plus packA mediocre car ?
moggy
ParticipantHi Adam, Motability didn’t lose 14k on the Audi, they paid a lot closer to 20k than 34k.
when you add your a.p. plus payments approx 12k they probably made some money.

ParticipantSorry that should be 2012

ParticipantHi BigB
There was a major report in 2112 stating that Diesel cars in the real world were seven times more polluting with NOx than manufactures claims. It was estimated that 12,000 premature deaths in the uk alone and over 70,000 in Europe was due to Diesel particulates especially in our cities. Dieselgate didn’t help but countries around the world were already banning Diesels from there cities Soon it will be Petrols turn, are people going to blame VW for that too.

ParticipantDon’t be silly.

If only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen.
Can’t falt you there Persuader, you know your onions.
moggy
ParticipantHa ha , you guys would make a good advert for Specsavers.
Sorry its a big no for me.
moggy
ParticipantTo me it’s a shame, iv’e no doubt it’s a good reliable car but those looks.
moggy
ParticipantI think the interior looks fine but the exterior is just plain ugly. There’s not many cars I wouldn’t buy because of looks, especially if it was a good car but this is one along with the Fiat multipla. I think I’d feel a bit self-conscious driving it.

ParticipantNo surprise about Skoda. Theyve been great to own for ages. No need to add the line ‘for a Skoda’ !
I’m not surprised because all in name it’s a German car, same goes for seat.
moggy
ParticipantPersuader, “All German car drivers” wow that’s a bit of a generalisation.
moggy
ParticipantAnd to think there was a time when I used to buy that rag.

Participanthi guys just a question, I’ve noticed a lot of discussion about the price cap, but noticed the Tiguan 190 sel with metallic paint is over £37k why is it still allowed on the scheme.
moggy
ParticipantI’ve got to honest I think the Tiguan is a really good car, better than the Audi q3. I’m coming from the current Audi Q5 with air suspension and was pleasantly surprised by the ride.

ParticipantHi Winston,
Like you I used to have an Audi q3 s line plus 184 ps. I found the Performance and grip from the 4 wheel drive very good so that’s the reason I’m going for the sel 190ps 4 motion. I did try the 150ps tdi 2 wheel drive in a match but found the performance a bit flat. So I’ve had to forgo a few bits of shiny plastic for a better performing and more comfortable car.

Participantbut it’s not £232 a month, it’s over £252 a month.
moggy
ParticipantBeen to an Audi dealer today and was told the q3 and a4 have been removed for q1.
