    Hi Trev and other mods

Just to inform you guys i will not be posting on this forum again, as i do not take kindly to be insulted in posts. Please see Trevs post regarding his test drive of a Karoq today, and a post which I feel is an affront to anyone who is disabled and is on low income, and to be told to go by bus, especially with my wife requiring a wheelchair  is very insulting.

    Hi Masquerade

That is your opinion, but maybe some people are happy with the standard equipment on the Karoq SEL and don’t want the Panoramic Sunroof, or traffic sign recognition? (If you are unable to recognise traffic signs you should not be driving) lane assist, again if you are concentrating on your driving you shouldn’t need lane assist, and why auto lights? is it not possible to turn a light switch to on?

I have to say that if you want all that equipment and have the money for the high AP then go and get one, however some of us have to ask for a grant towards a vehicle, and the Karoq SEL is the best equipped one for us, as well as the most comfortable, and better one to drive.

    Hi Guys

Is it not a Motability policy that only drivers over the age of 21 can drive their own vehicle!  I have no doubt there will be someone on the forum that will have the correct information on this matter.

    Hi Vinnie

Could you elaborate on why you thought these woman did not need wheelchair assistance at the airport, Just because you saw them “dancing” and enjoying themselves, does not mean that they did not need assistance.

My wife can walk a few paces, and have a little dance on the floor, however she would not be unable to walk from check in to aircraft via security and departure lounge, she would require a wheelchair for the distance, so if you saw my wife doing that would you then say “she didn’t need a wheelchair?

Unfortunately not all disabilities are visible.

    Hi Guys

Thunderstorms last night and early this morning, now raining, which is a shame, as there is an outdoor event happening in the local park today, and with the lovely weather we have had over the past few weeks, it such a shame that today when the event is on it rains.

I notice there is a weather warning for us up here on the Moray Firth, more thunderstorms on the way.

    Hi Guys

After a thunderstorm most likely out at sea early this morning (4.00am), could hear thunder in the distance, not close to us,  it is now sunny hot and blue cloudless skies up here on the Moray Firth at 9.45am.

    Hi Mike

It is a Phillips 5520 bought from Argos for £69.99. I notice now that in Argos they are doing a gift set with the razor and some Men’s Nivea Shaving gel and balm for £64.99, as far as I can see the razor is the same one as I bought last year to replace my first Phillips one, which the charging system packed up after seven long years of service.

    Hi Trev

Mine is rechargeable so don’t need a shaver point in the bathroom. However I have always needed to shave every day, never been able to last 2 or 3 days without shaving.

That looks a good trimmer, I have a similar one, which I use infrequently, as I am not happy with it, might invest in the one in your link.

    Hi Guys

No gave up buying blades some eight years ago, bought a Philips wet and dry razor, which I use as a wet razor and find it much better, easier and cheaper to use, all I need is some shaving foam for sensitive skin, and a change of blades every two years at a cost of around £30.00.

I found this shave to be better than ” The best a man can get” as well as no more nicks and cuts with blood running from the face, with bits of cotton wool or toilet tissue put on the cuts to stem the flow of blood.

I know some people find electric shaves are not as good as a manual wet shave, but I found it lasts all day and is as good or in my case better than the manual one, but it is each individuals choice as to what they find is better for themselves.

Yep that’s the problem nowadays, pricing, it does seem that Motability are pricing it out of most peoples reach.

    Hi Trev

I reckon once you have tried the Superb you won’t want to try anything else, it is a great car, unfortunately last time we tried one, (three years ago) my wife was unable to get in to one to try, I think she could now, but the Karoq is the one for us.

I have tried the Superb in the past and as the years have gone on it has just got better each time.

Did I not read somewhere recently that Skoda were going to make the Superb into an EV? or was it going to be Hybrid?

    Hi Brydo

Needs to have a parking/hand brake modification before many people will be interested.

This vehicle along with the Hyundai Ioniq and the Toyota Pruis all have a foot pedal operated parking/hand brake system, which is no good to a lot of perspective buyers.
