Yeh, I thought it was just a seat styling thing, but in the option for Cognac and Black, it says the seats are vented too.

So I honestly don’t know what to believe on the Skoda site.

Update:

A dealer has emailed me back and told me that the (Plus) is for the Plus option, and the (Suite) is the Cognac/Black with front ventilation seats.

So I think £2699 is a great deal for the Enyaq 85 SE L (Plus/Suite) or £2049 if you get the £650 discount deal.

I went onto the configurator and picked the Enyaq 85 SE L.

Went through all the steps, till I got to the options.

They had the Plus option, which I guess is the Plus part, as it had what you described.

Below was a Suite option Cognac or Black.
They were in the same section as ‘Loft’, ‘Lounge’, ‘Lodge’, ‘Suite Cognac’ and ‘Suite Black’?

Now this left me more confused 😕

The EV3 GT Line S is pretty much top of my list at the moment. I’m quite liking the drive assist functions from what I’ve seen on YT. Also love me a HUD and heated and bonus cooled seats.

I did 24 hr test drive the Ioniq 6, but my left knee pain started to return. Due to the lower down nature of getting in and out. I had surgery on that left knee in 2014.

I remember it well, as the day after I came out of hospital, I was due to collect the Mokka 1.7 dci. My daughter’s mum had to come with me, as she was on the insurance too. So I could sign for it and she drove it back.

I am impressed by & fully recommend the Ariya.

How is the audio, better or just the same as the QQ?

I don’t generally do over 60mi per day. My school run is around 32mi round trip. If I do use the motorway, it’s never over 60mph on ProPilot. I also have a private off road drive for my home.

I ask because you say that your car has had its MOT done now..yet your 3 month window does not open until next week. New cars that are coming upto 3 years old can have their “first” MOT done one month minus a day before the 3rd year anniversary date.

My lease doesn’t end till middle of April 2026.
My QQ has done 21.5k mi.

I’ve had an email from Motability, telling me that it’s 3 months before my lease ends, and I should start to look at new cars. If I wish to continue with Motability.

No extension invite for me.

I got a 24h test drive booked next week with the Ioniq 6. I want to see what a change from the usual SUV type would be like.
I also have a 30-60min test drive booked in the EV3 too next week.

I did some measurements of the Ioniq 6,

1. Ground to rear seat base was 60 cm
2. Ground to top of the door sill was 42 cm
3. Floor of the car to the front seat base was 28 cm.

To compare,

I also measured the Kia EV3

1. 41 cm
2. 62 cm
3. 32 cm

Ford Kuga

1. 45 cm
2. 65 cm
3. 35 cm

Just for reference, I’m currently driving a Nissan Qashqai.

Explains why the Motability search is only showing the previous model on the PHEV.

Motability won’t be concerned with dealer discounts.
Motability will only go off their own AP. They don’t even like you cancelling and reordering the same vehicle because it’s cheaper in the next quarter.

Any dealer discounts are solely dealer specific, and nothing to do with Motability.

Kezo’s correct, you can choose to pay the NCP/NVP of £750 towards your AP, or paid directly to yourself. Just inform Motability so the dealer doesn’t assume to want to use it.

Also double check to make sure that the current dealer giving the discount, has actually changed the order to this quarter. I know some might promise the earth, but do absolutely nothing.

Motability Foundation is a charitable organisation.

Motability Operations supply fleet vehicles, where the monthly lease is paid for by the mobility part of the persons disability benefit, paid for by the DWP, thus the government.
Advanced Payments are privately funded by the individual or the Motability Foundation.

Motability Operations profits are put back into Motability Operations and the Foundation.

The Motability Foundation is responsible for providing grants to help with APs.

So the government does not own Motability, run the scheme, set car prices or directly fund vehicles.

Hence, why I brought up months ago, if you let the government control what Motability Operations LTD can do. Then that sets the president that the government can overreach into the running of other private companies. So what’s stopping them with interfering with the company car schemes?

I have no agenda, and sit on the lawn with my Pepsi Max and some crisps (not a popcorn fan).

I’m choosing an EV, purely for reducing travel costs. Yes, Motability pay for the charger (bonus), and I have a drive way that I can charge in.

I’m on the fence about the climate science, as CO² will always be a by product to produce all the parts needed for the ‘green agenda’. So I’m not going to be hypocritical about it. China has it down to an art form, and can mine and produce it much cheaper than anyone else. So all the countries have passed on their CO² cost to them.

So, I’m really not bothered by it all. I’ll get whatever ever fits my needs and reduces my overall outgoings.

Yes I have solar and a battery, as I don’t see the UK’s energy costs going down anytime soon. I’m all in it for the overall cost savings. Anything else, I’m really not that bothered.

I’d deffo check out the Qashqai Tekna ePower.
It has heated front seats, heated steering wheel, electric boot, HUD, electric drivers seat (not passenger unfortunately) and a glass roof (non opening).

Best of all, it only has an electric drive train. So non of all this mechanical hybrid gubbins, gears/CVT or drive train. It drives just like an EV, and you definitely notice it.

Just fill it with petrol so the generator can do its thing when needed.

The QQ ePower would be top of my petrol list. I currently have one April 2023.
The new facelift version has the improved ePower system, that is quieter and more economical than mine.
In spring to autumn, i’m often 60-80mpg. Even in November last year I got 70.7mpg for a 16mi journey when it was 2°c one evening. Yes it goes to 30-50mpg during the winter months, but it’s been quite mild this  winter.

I’d only get the Tekna trim, just for the heated seats and steering wheel. Helps with MPG in winter, if your on your own driving.

Oh no, I wasn’t implying you were, my apologies. It was more of a comment aimed at the powers that be, wondering why we haven’t been given any news if a ‘UK-compatible’ version already exists. Hi, it’s fine no offence taken. I do like the facelift version, but it is strange to find it on the ROI site as NEW Ioniq 6. I checked the French site, and they still have the same  current version up with no sign of the facelift I6. I’m quite interested to find out if it would come as new build from the factory, or is it like you say ‘current stock’.

I thought the NEW Leaf would have been on, due to it being built up there in Sunderland. It’s a shame they only put on the base Ariya too.

Yes they have rear wipers. I think they’re mounted from the top, so they tuck in under the rear spoiler.

Just saying that there’s been no mention on any of the car blogs/media about any up and coming change from the current I6 model. Unless, they decide to do a silent change, but I can’t see that happening.

Maybe, but there’s been no announcements of the UK launch of the facelift version.
I’m not suspecting it to be in Q1. My lease ends around 15th April. So it might have a chance to appear in Q2, but again. Without any announcement in 2025, I think it might be later in 2026 and past my end date. Then it might extend into the AP + VAT situation, then cost even more than Q1’s AP.

Who knows, I’ll just play with what cards Q1 has dealt me.
