I quite like the look of the smart #5.

I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.

Kezo at the moment I am struggling to communicate or hold a conversation with strangers, I have asked the wife to take over all negotiation as regard which way to go with the car, she advised me to get rid of the caravan and buy a small reliable EV, the EV3 seems to tick all our boxes. As regards EV chargers, we already have a 7 kWh Podpoint so a simple fix, do Mobility give you any EV charger choice if you pay the difference.

I had an old BP PodPoint from 2021.

I ordered an Enyaq in Q1, and had the Podpoint replaced with an Ohme Pro Charger.
I believe Motability only supply Ohme chargers. Correct me if i’m wrong,

I feel we got lucky for that the regular sportline is the same price as the 85x sportline maxx pack now. Tbf if we get the face lift itll mean the enyaq will improve even more.

I think we got the best from Q1+Q2,

There’s hoping that we get the updated Enyaq, as the V2L can come in handy, I like Travel Assist so TA 3 would be great, The Frunk not that bothered, it’s a just a tray. I fear that the current VW software might start getting left behind, on the move to Android.

I’m going to be tied to the last of these current (old) T+Cs when my Enyaq comes. So, I’ll have till 2029 to watch and see how things play out. Before I decide if I should leave the scheme and go private leasing instead.

Yes, I was happy to see the GT Line S appear, I emailed my dealer to check soon after.
Told me that it was a pricing error and the GT Line S wasn’t available.

It could have tempted my away from Q1 ordered Enyaq Sportline Maxx.

There’s nothing on Q2 that can tempt me away from the Enyaq now.

I’ll see how it goes in 2029, when my next car will be due.
At least I get the current T+Cs with the 60k mileage etc for that duration.

I’m glad I ordered the Enyaq Sportline Maxx in Q1.

The Kia EV5 GT Line S is not on Q2 and was a pricing error on the Motability website.

@MFillingham I ordered an Enyaq Sportline Maxx in Q1, but now my other car has come on the EV5 GT Line S.

I may have to go and test drive it. Although, it’s a £1k more than the Enyaq, I do like a cooled seat for my hot flushes.

I’d love to see the IM6 or Smart #5 appear in Q2.
That would cause me to cancel my Enyaq order and change.

When I was first on the scheme. It was 10,000, then it wen to 12,000, then to 15,000 and current 20,000 mi.
I thought 15,000 was a fairer yearly allowance.

This table has been shared to Motability professional partners. It’s important to note that when you -pick the car up- is important alongside when you -place the application-. It seems easier to read than the /changes customer web page. One important detail (for me at least) that’s missing is the actual cost of the EU travel admin fee.

I’ve just been in contact with MB and told because I have already placed order it is totally irrelevant if my handover date is before or after 1st July, I will be on current terms for this lease. 20k miles, 8 tyres, euro breakdown etc.

I completely agree. The affected date is when you sign that order/application for the car, not the handover date.

I usually put mine on to retention 2 weeks before the change over date.
Take the car with its assigned reg plates.

Go online an swap the plates on the Motability site.

Take original plates off, and put on my own.

That way I never need to replace any set of plates, and my own get cleaned and never leave my possession.

Ordered mine, meteor grey, ‘sportline auto maxx’ Told that their system says 22 weeks till build and 5 weeks delivery, so 27 weeks total. Which I’m totally fine with cos (a) more value from current car and (b) it ‘should’ theoretically get the upgrades, but I will keep an eye on it.

I maybe tempted to cancel my order and reorder it from another neighbouring Skoda Dealership.

That’s great. My build date is mid May. I wish it could be held back for the model updates.

The lumbar massage function uses a set of air bladders that constantly keep changing pressure in some kind of rhythmic motion, for about 20mins. Activated via a button next to the memory seat buttons on the seat side.

Does anyone know if you can adjust motability order like colour or adding a pack if you have no build date yet? ordered two weeks ago

I assume you can if the car isn’t currently being built.
I can only guess, as to, it should be a fairly simple job to add to the order on the system.
Unless they lock the order in, thus making it uneditable.

You’d have to talk to the dealership about that.

Speaking as a former computer systems architect.
I’ve developed some applications that allow you to create orders, but then, they are read only.
The only other option was to cancel that said order.

Others, have been developed to have orders editable until a certain point.

All depends on how their system was created.

                                      – V2L is a huge plus for me,
                                      – The additional frunk is a great place to store the tyre stuff and other cables, I won’t use that much.
                                      – The change to Android OS for the car is better than the usual OS from VW group.
                                      – Traffic Assist 3 is beneficial, as I often use ADAS on my car for the school run.

Today I took my daughter out for a drive. We looked at the Enyaq first, then the EV3 and 5. The Enyaq has shaped the seat base to better support the knees, unfortunately that really didn’t work well for my daughter and could well be an issue for Mrs F too. Even after the joys of squeezing in the Jeep, the EV3 still felt tight. The space in the back is barely enough for her. The EV5 still sits at the top of the list. Space was plentiful, materials and styling were acceptable for her, although we had to try an EV3 Air to get the feel of the materials. I would still much prefer to be able to step up to the GT Line but the extra £3,000 just isn’t happening. Electric leather(ish) seats and tailgate would be useful but aren’t worth that much money. It’s odd that we are currently expected to pay for the full difference in retail price between the Air and GT Line.

Not long till Q2, maybe the EV5 might come down in AP.
Still hoping to see the smart #5 making an appearance in Q2, One can dream 🙂

I have a test drive of the new Ioniq 5 next week. That has a turning circle of 11m, compared to the Enyaq’s 9m.

Welcome to Skoda. I had to manage my own battles with both Skoda & MB and eventually decided to take MB to the Financial Ombudsman (I have no capacity to take them both). Their investigator upheld my complaint, yet MB rejected and it is now waiting for the Financial Ombudsman “real” ombudsman (not an investigator / mediator / whatever they call those people) to make the final decision. In my case it is an opposite – my dad drives only Kodiaqs since they appeared. Every 3 years returns an old one and takes a brand new. Never had an issue. My Enyaq 85x SportLine is all about the issues (with electronics) – MB even acknowledged it by accepting early termination on mechanical grounds, but I cannot afford a new one since the AP climbed from £1,599 I paid for in April 2024 to £3,999 when I raised a complaint with the FO back in June 2025 and now over £5,000 for a new one. So I have made lots of popcorn and wait for an outcome.

Sorry to hear. I hope you finally get the outcome that you want 🙂

Im glad you like the Enyaq, just ordered one! 85x Sportline plus, I too will be interested in it’s efficency in everyday use. Oh just to add the 4wd is no quicker from the lights than other 85 models, all are 0-62 6.7 sec. but RWD’s offer slightly more range.

I just ordered an 85 Sportline Maxx with the winter pack. As my daughter likes rear heated seats.

I think all car colour choices of black to white, and every variation of grey are getting dull and boring.
I had to pick the metallic blue on the Enyaq, as I didn’t want to pay more for the red or olive.

My favourite colour was my old ‘Broom Yellow’ Fiat Punto GT, with gun metal alloys.

They need to start doing more happy, brighter colours, that don’t blend into the tarmac or grey clouds.
