With every car that I’ve had with HUD, you can adjust the display position via the infotainment system, so that regardless of your seating position you have a clear and unobstructed view of the HUD display with no blurring at the edges. Does the Skoda not have this? I’d be amazed if it doesn’t.
The HUD settings allow for up/down and skew correction and brightness. No left or right, as the projection unit is mounted in place.
I think it’s just my driving posture. As I’ve noticed that the seats are a fraction wider than the Qashqai. I think I’ve managed to find some kind of sweet spot, as long as my head doesn’t bobble around. That I can’t control as I like to look around, or sometimes just slightly drift left or right. It’s just a me thing.
I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.I may just have to get used to the HUD having a smaller sweet spot.
It maybe that they’re using nearly all of the display space for the information.Whereas, the Qashqai might have only used 80%, allowing for a little head movement.
I’ll continue to play around with the seating position till I get comfy with everything.
It does feel much bigger on the inside than the Qashqai.
The travel assist by the VAG is a great piece of software.I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.It drives great, speedy, and very quiet. It’s too easy to go over the speed limit as it’s so quiet, you don’t realise the speed your going. The drive assist is way better than Nissan’s. It was auto driving all the way back from Tesco’s. Where my previous Qashqai would only work on wider roads, with very gentle curves.
The HUD seems to fade away on the very left. I don’t know if it’s my driving position. I’ll check tomorrow where my head is centre of the head rest. Still getting the settings and positioning set right. May take some time, as there’s so many options scattered around.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Thanks, I ordered late Feb, and build early May. So I got a last build MY26.
I guess I could’ve cancelled and reordered when I heard about the model update. I was only interested in Travel Assist 3. So I wasn’t that bothered, as it’s a great car in its current form.Race Blue, as my 12 year old daughter didn’t like the other colours.
I kind of liked that nice warm grey, Meteor Grey though.-

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Great car @Mitch
I found when I was test driving the Kia’s and Hyundai’s.
It was actually quick to speak what I wanted to the car.
It even opened and closed sunroofs. It’s much easier to speak to those cars while driving.
I hope the Skoda Enyaq’s ‘Laura’ acts a similar way.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.I did it last week with my plate. I removed it, via my Motability account online,
In about 1 hour, DVLA had it on retention and I had 3 days to put the original plates back on, as the original registration was assigned back.Luckily, I keep the original plates in the vehicle boot, for when I need to change it back.
Never had any issues, nor assistance. All nice and easy online.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Legally, under VAT law, VAT is paid at the point of payment. Which is why they’ve put it at standard rate for orders before 1st of July, but with collection after that date.
Motability are really doing the next best thing by guaranteeing the AP is protected at the time or order.I guess you could pay the AP before 1st of July if they hadn’t. I don’t know if that would work, as the AP is only paid to Motability upon the collection date.

Incorrect Yes they do, especially if you get an insurance quote from…Direct Line ..lol. I know, I have an estimate for my next car.
I’m very correct, and my comment is perfectly accurate.
Will I get a ‘no claims’ bonus at the end of my lease? | Motability SchemeI have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Private leasing (PCH) might be another option and in many cases can work out cheaper than Motability depending on the car.
The only problem with that is the current insurance cost for young, first time drivers could be quite high. In the end, it might not work out that much better.
If its yur daughters first car, the scheme insurance scheme lets your daughter accumlate ncb
DLM don’t accumulate NCB for Motability drivers. Yes, you can a previous claims history letter. It’s down to other insurance companies whether they accept that and give you the corresponding discount (outside of Motability).
If your daughter is a learner, then it’s easier to get the driving lessons via Motability with the car. She could use the car to learn in, provided that there’s a fully qualified driver over 21 on the Motability insurance, and present in the car.
If she can already drive, then it’s a hassle free way of getting a car and drive. Especially, now as they’ve paused the Smart Drive crap. If you do go down this route, then it’s better to order the car before July, as you should be covered by the old (current pre-July) T&Cs.
Good luck to her, whatever, she decides.

TBH, It’s a great car as it is. So it’s no big deal if/probably miss the slight update build change over.
The only 2 things of the new update I liked was Travel Assist 3 and the V2L, but I can live without them for 3 years.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.The purpose of this charity funded by the government is to provide disability vehicles to people who qualify This is a joke and with the government now taxing the crap out of cars ap and dictating what type of cars we can have, but they swan around in jags, range rovers and the like. This needs a serious looking into now and a new fit for purpose method introducing.
Motability Operations Ltd is a not for profit company owned by the 4 major clearing banks in the UK. They’re the part that handle all the car side of Motability. It’s not a charity, nor funded by the government. Unless, you want to class the higher rate of PIP/DLA. you use for Motability as government funded. The APs on the other hand are customer funded, or by the grant.
The Motability Foundation is the charitable side of Motability and they provide the grants for customers. They also, are not funded by the government, but by partners and donation events.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.I’m not too bothered about driving 60mph on motorways. I tend to just relax and let the ProPilot do the main work.
On A-roads, I tend to use ECO and regen to slow, upon reading the road ahead. Only using the brake to actually come to a stop.
I’ve generally become a more relaxed driver now. Unless, I’ve set off late to pick up my daughter from school. If she does successfully start her reduced timetable for school reintegration (ASC issues).

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Sorry to hear your bad news, I have due to extenuating circumstance been allowed to extend my lease for a further 12 month, before the end of my lease I am going to consult my dealer with the view to buy, no doubt Mobility will want silly money.
Who would you purchase the car from?
I thought it went back to Motability as they ‘ technically ‘ own the title of the car.I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.I’m waiting on my Enyaq to be built. Should be ready around late June.
So I have till 2029 on the current T+Cs, then I’ll see the lay of the land (so to speak). Then decide whether to continue with Motability or search private leasing.I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Or a child on one of those scooters. I saw one nearly get hit in the local town after he rode out in front of a car. Fortunatly the driver managed to stop in time, but would she have then received a red mark for harsh braking if it had been a motability car.
Not even sure they’ll let people argue their care. Dash cam footage might help, but you’re not allowed to fit them
I have a dash cam plugged into the USB power socket.
They just don’t let you connect them to the car’s fuse box, or hide the wiring behind trim, as it might interfere with airbag deployment. They don’t stop you from having one in the car, as long as it can be powered from a USB or 12v power plug.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.So, I have been quietly preparing for a meeting tomorrow with my MP. This is going to be interesting as he’s a key figure in the BEV all party parliament group, so pointing out just how awful Motability pricing is for BEVs is definitely on my hit list. Some key point prepared are: Q1 cheapest suitable car was £1,999 (Enyaq SEL Plus) Q2 it has changed to the £2,999 EV5 Air The Ev5 and Sportage are supposedly the same market group, having had KIA and several reviewers say that while the EV5 isn’t an electric Sportage, it’s definitely targeting the same people looking for the same sector car but with a battery. The cheapest Sportage is £199 The cheapest the EV5 has been so far is £2,999 that’s £2,800 just for choosing electric. I looked at the revenue benefits of bringing the Salary Sacrifice changes forward to the next financial year and that brings in an additional £10bn while all 5 years of VAT and IPT only recovers £1bn. If revenues are the target, not cosying up to the right leaning media, then the NICS on Salary Sacrifice creates significantly more revenue that ruining the Motability scheme for so many people. There’s also a planned rant on not giving disabled people the choice a commercial lease would offer.
Good luck with your meeting tomorrow.
All completely valid points, that can’t be just batted away.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.The EV3 ICCU issue, as I see it, is still an issue but does come with a solution. Charging at a full 7.4kW can cause the ICCU to ‘trip’ where it drops the charge rate to trickle. Apparently, stopping the charge and trying later can resolve this once it’s tripped but I’ve seen no clarity on how much later really is. What is clear is that charging at 90% of full rate avoids the whole problem. There is no sign of the EV5 having any issues with the ICCU, although it’s not been out for long.
I’ve also read somewhere that if you reduce the AC home charging to around 6kw, it avoids the ICCU problem to some degree on the EV3.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.There was a time when the MG TF was on Motability the stepspeed cvt and also the automatic Mazda RF was as well, which I think Mazda has dropped the auto MX5. But as we know the Abarth evs been taken off scheme and any coupes which there is not many anyway seems strange to me saying to disabled in a supposedly free society not allowed due to no choice seems anti disabled in a way.
Convertibles were also dropped by Motability in their culling.

I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.Kezo at the moment I am struggling to communicate or hold a conversation with strangers, I have asked the wife to take over all negotiation as regard which way to go with the car, she advised me to get rid of the caravan and buy a small reliable EV, the EV3 seems to tick all our boxes. As regards EV chargers, we already have a 7 kWh Podpoint so a simple fix, do Mobility give you any EV charger choice if you pay the difference.
I had an old BP PodPoint from 2021.
I ordered an Enyaq in Q1, and had the Podpoint replaced with an Ohme Pro Charger.
I believe Motability only supply Ohme chargers. Correct me if i’m wrong,I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.I feel we got lucky for that the regular sportline is the same price as the 85x sportline maxx pack now. Tbf if we get the face lift itll mean the enyaq will improve even more.
I think we got the best from Q1+Q2,
There’s hoping that we get the updated Enyaq, as the V2L can come in handy, I like Travel Assist so TA 3 would be great, The Frunk not that bothered, it’s a just a tray. I fear that the current VW software might start getting left behind, on the move to Android.

Told me that it was a pricing error and the GT Line S wasn’t available. It could have tempted my away from Q1 ordered Enyaq Sportline Maxx.
There’s nothing on Q2 that can tempt me away from the Enyaq now.
