Your so right wonky i have myself experienced this as well i think that with legal aid being cut back unless we can defend ourselves against corporate abuse we have no chance.
One thing i will say is if you want anything in writing from motability do not hold your breath as i tried to get evidence which is still ongoing and the ombudsman is now looking into it for me as i asked for letters signed from the grants team and motability operations and they refused to do this as they know they may be in trouble they also will not produce a document on there duty of care to disabled customers which under equality act of 2010 they should have. How can an organization that deals with and for disabled people act like this its totally illigal under the human rights act as well i was treated very bad and my mental health suffered due to no duty of my care, like said when things are going well they are very good but in some cases they abuse you.
I never paid any deposit even for op extras.
I myself have had a number of smarts for two’s and they have been really good and the new renault input smart is classy with great twin clutch automatic leather heated seats its a great car and no worries with rusty paintwork, also suzuki dealers seem to get good reports better now than toyota there cars have improved big time.We know that skoda seat are vw’s in disguise as well.
I am not sure if you know motability told me you should not have to pay any deposit on ordering your car although i have been asked for by a dealer in the past and also if you are not sure of the car ordered motability told me you can even cancel before inputing the pin number so right up to the last week of delivery you are able to cancel your order.I know the dealer would be left with a car but they will sell it or put it in there showroom if it has extras on it.
April 25, 2019 at 10:47 am in reply to: Best hybrid cars 2019 UK: the top PHEVs and plug-ins on sale #75520I read in auto express that a lot of uk charging points are broken so unless we can charge from home it does not seem very reliable for any long travel, i really think we need a hybrid that runs on some type of fuel for the future if petrol is no more, will there ever be a self regenerating car and then theres the tax the gov will not get so it will be pay by the mile to use the roads.
Hi Surrey guy it seems when things go wrong like for you motability seems to put the blame on the customer and to be honest i know someone who was banned from the scheme for a year due to terminations when some of the fault was with adaptions fitting company and motability and the customer all had some input. But i think even though motability made a massive surplus profit from us disabled they have cutback on back office problems when things go wrong. All they told my friend was he would have to go to the financial ombudsman if he was still not happy.I hope you let us know your outcome by the way when motability insists you have a test drive i told them you ask a dealer and they tell you as i found most of the time they do not have any automatics to test.
I have posted this before the Abarth 595 mta is no longer sold in uk and the other 165bhp mta auto is not on the scheme and abarth uk told me its due to insurance costs not as said a bhp limit although they told me there trying to get insurance costs down so they could become available. As the Mazda mx5 rf automatic and cx5 has been removed i think once again choice is being taken away to disabled although i came off the scheme and have a smart for two dct turbo which has also never been on the scheme and the insurance is low and its zero tax it does not make any sence why you can buy a mini cooper s auto which is 192bhp and an expensive to buy car yet some cars you cannot buy.Abarth uk motability told me he would like the whole range on the scheme but its motability causing the problems.
