Brilliant!
It seems like ages until it locks, but it does – the door buttons no longer work.
Very happy I checked in here tonight!

When using an emulator they touch the door handle to wake the car up and communicate with it but apparently if you hold open and lock until the lights flash 4 times the car locks after 10 seconds and button on the handle no longer wakes the car up, ive been searching today and seen multiple people on the ioniq6 groups confirm they trsted and this works on their car so thats put me at ease. Thanks guys
Could you explain this a bit clearer? Hold open what? A door? The open button?
I can’t even park outside my house so this would be perfect if it works on mine!

My Hyundai dealer told me he thinks vehicle prices and APs will rise again next quarter.
I don’t get why there has to be this secrecy about it – people just want to make good buying decisions…..

Something is out of date here….

I hadn’t had a car for years until someone encouraged me to apply for motability.
I only have my disability benefits as income and have zero savings, so the expense of owning a car again just put me off completely.
When i got my 1st car it was amazing. It changed my life! I was able to go out and do things I would never have done before getting my car.
The prices were amazing with many cars £0 AP or not much more. Fortunately I ordered my next car just before the increases. I would not be able to get the car I’m getting which is now 1449 from 549!
Unless things change before my next motability car, I won’t be getting very much! I think prices will come down again, especially with EVs getting MUCH cheaper in the next few years.
I am shocked at the price increases – but at least I will have a car. I don’t know how I’d manage without now! For me, I can’t consider buying a car, let alone a 2nd car, so I’m still very grateful for the scheme!

Has anyone else noticed that the Ioniq 5 is NOT on Hyundai UKs motability page any more? Is this on purpose or are they no longer doing it on Motability?
https://www.hyundai.com/uk/en/offers/new-cars/motability.html
Edit: Just noticed its gone from my local dealer’s site as well. They’re def honouring my order, but its looking like they took it off motability!

Yay!
This is good news for me – went to see my dealer today and the car they had for me was sold, so they have ordered a new one. They told me it may well be an MY25 😊

July 11, 2024 at 11:06 pm in reply to: Motability site says “You Have Extended Your Lease” – eh? #284735Thats what I thought – still doesn’t explain why it says I’ve extended – I haven’t – yet I found this info about my current lease:

I didn’t make this extension! It says extended until 29th Sept – 2 days after my lease should end. I will call them tomorrow to see whats going on, but this is odd. And why have I been sent all this stuff early? Wasn’t like this last time!

The Kona is good too – was torn between that and the Ioniq, but the slightly bigger Ioniq works better for me and my sister. Easy to get in to, very comfortable, and good tech, tho the Ioniq is somehow behind with the Kona having a newer infotainment system which the Ioniq doesn’t get until MY25s come out.
I did look at the Enyaq too, but I think Hyundai is better for efficiency and range.

I have my PIN, have been sent my complimentary BP Pulse activation email, copy of the agreement and all the new car details are filled in – all stuff you wouldn’t normally get until nearer the end of your lease… look:

Hey – is it your 1st motability vehicle?
As you’ll see from recent posts many are talking about the huge price increases in the APs for all the vehicles.
I was lucky and able to order just before the 1st July and got a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Premium 77Kwh for £549 up front. I think it’s now £1549!
I’ve found people here very helpful and knowledgable – I wish I’d found this forum before!
