I was in exactly the same position. Took Renault Austral in March 2024 and got the £750.

Collected new car 2 weeks ago. Got the pro-rated AP back a few days ago and it works out at 11/36 of the non-£750 amount i.e. the full AP at the time.

Theoretically this means the same should happen to you. Although you’re presumably aware of the £250 early cancellation fee and loss of GCB?

I am more-or-less used to the on-screen stuff now, although I don’t like some of it.

Yep, although I think only the front row are ventilated. I only see heating controls on the back of the centre console.

We are awaiting delivery of what I think will be our last Motability car. Our reasoning is much the same as yours. We had to go large Chinese SUV (Tiggo 8) this time because we aren’t quite in a position to lease privately yet. We should be by the end of this lease.

A few days. They need to do a pre-delivery inspection (PDI), registration etc. I am in a similar situation to you and have told the dealership I don’t want it before the ’26 plate begins and they had already assumed that. May I suggest you contact the garage?

You can still make multi-selections, you just need to click the boxes very quickly. But yes, it shouldn’t be like that.

The Austral is sim-labelled anyway. It’s ‘C’ segment. Large SUVs – Kodiaq, 5008, Tiggo 8 etc – are ‘D’.

The whole search system is glitchy as heck.

Yikes! Easy with the shouting.

I always use the brake pedal, for extra control. Although it has to be said that the emergency braking system in my car once responded fractionally quicker than I did, and the brake pedal was already depressed when I got to it. Even when the car is slowing itself ‘cos I’m decelerating e.g. for a junction, my foot is hovering over the pedal to apply more pressure when it’s needed.

The question was whether the lights come on, nobody mentioned relying on the system for normal braking.
