Please correct me if I’m wrong, but unless you opted for “Car Net” option on the Tig you don’t get the SIM card slot on the media player as I don’t have it on mine.
When they first Released them they wanted £80 ouch ?then I suppose the take up was not very good,so they started to give them away for free.?
There alright we got one fitted to our Tig,but don’t expect miracles from it.?May 15, 2018 at 3:54 pm in reply to: What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2018 – the winners #51099
Your not wrong there LB,so it must of won on looks.???
At long last woohoo…..I did say you wouldn’t be disappointed.?May 11, 2018 at 1:08 pm in reply to: SEAT and Volkswagen seatbelt safety issue identified #50787

At last …Woohoo you’ll won’t be disappointed ??
I would download the e-brochures of the car models your interested in and look at the specs of each version to see if the heated seats come as standard,If they don’t then check on the models options to see what the extra cost would be as you could use that in your favour in regards to negotiate a better deal with the dealer.?
I’m afraid to say it’s BS tbh however there is absolutely no reason not to give you your tracking number unless they have not uploaded your order to the factory as they might have used this months allocation and if that’s the case then you won’t get one until the next allocation becomes available if you go onto VW live chat on there website with your order details they should be able to give you the tracking number if there is one yet.
fingers crossed it’s just a lazy salesperson.?
I don’t think you can put a time scale on applying for a grant and being accepted as each case will be taken on its own merits etc,so the only thing I would advise is to contact Motability via telephone and as long as you meet there criteria over the phone then they will send you the application for a grant.?
Great that an Auto R-Line Tig has finally made it on the scheme, but not as good value as the SEL 4motion 190 and £500 less advance payment.??
Sorry for the late response…..
The only way we would know how many orders Motability cancelled is to get it from the horses mouth” Marshalls VW” as you say I was lucky strange though I live in Kent and I collected the car in Oxford which is in excess of over a 100 miles away, but I did not get a single phone call and all the local VW dealers would or could not match that offer.?
Mike please don’t think I am doubting you because I’m not at all, what I do think that it was blown well out of proportion.
I know ours wasn’t .????
i know it’s apparently a Motability rule that you have to visit the supplying dealer, but if you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that you’ve throughly investigated and test driven the vehicle you want then I honestly don’t see a problem.?

Apart from Mikes order via Marshalls VW being cancelled by Motability,I don’t think anyone else has posted to say it has happened to them or it could be the case I just haven’t seen the posts.??
I find this thread a really interesting and enjoy reading other people’s opinions a lot positive with a few negative ones,so keep up the good work Brydo.?
Sorry to hear the troubles with your order however something I found when we were dealing with your dealer was that they fall over backwards to secure your order, but after that unless you chase them up all the time you hear nothing and the only reason I got my Tiguan a lot earlier than scheduled was that I was threatened to cancel which made them look on the VW system for ones that available much sooner and by some coincidence they found one to my exact spec and yes I know you opted for more options than I did,but I bet a pound to a penny they have never bothered to look however it does not take a couple of minutes to give a call just out of courtesy tbh.
This might be worth exploring when an ordered vehicle is delayed longer than normal They implement mobel which I think is a loan car until yours arrive and I know you don’t need that, but perhaps there is an alternative they can offer you in these circumstances.
I can assure you once you do get it you’ll won’t be disappointed.?
I would like to echo Keymaster, what has already been said and thanks for having the foresight to create this website and the great forum full of information that most of us would have never known about.?
For those that use FB it’s a good idea I suppose and I’m not knocking your effort or contribution however what is a little concerning in which my daughter showed me this morning that the special car offers on your unofficial Motability site Your opening/starting is a closed group as you have to send/ask to join why.??would it not be better to have an open forum like we have here,so that if any FB users that qualify to use the scheme and come across an offer could post without the need to ask your permission.?
Sorry, but would it not be better placed here in the first place rather than referring people here afterwards from Facebook.?
It might have a world wide audience, but there is a lot of people that don’t and won’t use facebook as it’s too intrusive and cannot be trusted with personal data.?
Our dealer was that generous plus we both had a free meal.??
That’s all I had,but then I did get £500 off the ap and a free MacDonalds.????
Christ we really have had some self opinionated people on this forum lately…..
Example would be the car side does not work for everyone why don’t people just accept that instead of banging on about it being good for all.
Motability does need to look at how it operates especially for those that need autos it also needs to address it scooter side of the business as that is just ripping disabled people off.
And home address probably best is to restore the SATNAV to factory reset then all personal details will removed at once.

Woohoo persistence paid off,so well done ? when your ready once you have your 3008 tell us all about it.?
My Tiguan arrived at the German port on the 14/02 and was at the dealers by the 28/02.?
Not long to go now.???
