Thank you so much. I’m picking one up in a few days and I would hate to be in the situation where it had come down and I end up paying more than I needed to so as weird as it seems I’m happy it’s gone up.
I’ve just come off the telephone from speaking to a Ford dealer. The prices are definitely on the system as she was reeling off the new ones for the Mach-E. What was interesting is that she says there are no Select models with the Tech pack in the UK so it would have to be a factory order which they are happy to do. and have been doing for a while.
I don’t suppose by any chance you asked what the price will be on the 23.75 with the tech pack?

I managed to order the 2024 model yesterday.
Congratulations, I should be picking mine up in the next week or so , I am getting a 23.75 I was very tempted to wait as I hate the wheels on it and think the wheels on the 24 are much better, but suddenly, the little kid inside me says don’t wait another four weeks you want it now.
We both certainly have exciting times ahead of us
On the Ford website, if you select collect from dealer, it tells you where it is
The absolute black with a tech pack is in Leicester
Weirdly enough my local dealer sadly though I’m driving down to Essex as I wanted a red one
The Ioniq 5 was a close 2nd choice for us. I’m sure you’ll love it.
I’ve just had a look online and the one in Leicester must’ve sold the black one left is in Aberdeen
I’m leaning towards the Mach E with the Tech+ pack. @Bo says you only live once,and the old American fella in the video said his next car could be a motorised casket. I will be stretching myself with the AP,but the Tech+ pack is only £500 more over and above the Select models £3495 AP its a great saving because retail Ford ask’s £3000 for the Tech+. Just get the feeling that everyone gets i suppose do i jump in with both feet now or wait until Q3 hoping the AP will be diluted.
If you’re after one with the tech pack the only ones available in the country now are in black so you would have to have a factory order for a 2024 model,on the plus side to that it’s actually got faster motors. I believe it’s slightly bigger battery and much nicer wheels.
I need to sit in a Mustang Select version,only managed to sit in the higher spec version (which was nice)
The only difference inside is a different coloured stitching, the difference between the select and the premium is outside on the select you have Mat black trim and on the premium you have piano black and on the GT it’s body coloured and of course different wheels and battery sizes
I was in a very similar situation. We got our choices down to Ioniq 5 Ultimate and the Mustang.
Test drove the Mustang we realised it was the only car for us. It’s a great car to drive. Nice to look at and the tech packs ia an extra £500. Yes, it’s pricey but you only live once
Yeah, we looked at Jon Grose dealerships as we had grabber blue as a backup colour, but I was not so keen on the 2023 models as the wheels look too small, although I do prefer the style.
When this quarter price was released on the information went out to Ford dealers it listed 2023.75 and 2024 models as the same price, so I think you’ll be lucky
You can almost guarantee the day after I pick mine up the 2024 models will be available from stock lol
Good luck I’m sure your patience will be rewarded. There’s very little stock of the old models floating round now so it can’t be long until four have to start letting Motability customers have 2024 ones
Hi, yes I managed to order a 2023.75 in red with a tech pack I found it at the dealer down South. They agreed to save it for me till June when I’m due to change.
I did speak about the 2024 model to my dealer in Leicester and he informed me Ford will still only allow factory orders for mobility and that we could still only pick from central stock. So it looks like they’re very much hoping to shift all the old models to people on mobility, I believe in central stock there’s only three colours left and none with tech packs. I assume once they’ve gone, they will replenish their stock with 2024 models.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this has happened by the time you’re due to re-order.
I’m not bothered about the power upgrade of the 2024. I have to say I’m much prefer the nicer wheels but at this point and not knowing when they’ll be available I’m just gonna take the car I’ve got and put up with the wheels and be happy I got a red one with the tec pack.
Out of interest, do you have a list of the differences between the 2023 and 2023.75 versions other than the alloys? I think the old alloys look slightly better even though they’re 18 inch and the new ones are supposedly 19. I wish we could just pay a little extra and opt for the Premium.
As you said, the wheels. I prefer the style of the 18 inch but they really are too small for the car
The battery chemistry is slightly different. It’s only a little bit bigger in KWH but apparently gives an extra 20 miles of range
And the key with the 2023.75 model you get the Mustang key with the 2023 model you get the old style key which looks very much like a fiesta key so no tailgate opener no front boot opener on the key
Apparently, Motability have the price for the 2023.75 and a 2024 model set as the same but I’m not sure what the difference might be and when it will be released
Two different dealers have both told me when I’ve tried to order cars, they’ve told me there’s no factory orders. I can only pick from ford central stock so go on the website and pick the ones that are available in four weeks. Anything that’s available for one week is at a dealer and not available to me.
I found the dealer with the red one that I want. I might give them a ring just to be 100% certain.
But it very much looks like Ford has ran their stock down
Thanks for the info. If they’re on auto trader they are already at dealers and therefore not available to me as that’s dealer stock. I can only have what’s available at the Ford main holding compound and there’s only two colour choices.
I know it’s madness, but apparently I can only order as a Motability customer from Ford main stock I guess Ford will consider them sold when they are at a Ford dealer

Bo, have you seen the various colours in person? I have only seen the space white one and the vapour blue and both looked cheap (especially the blue one). The plastic wheel arches and rear “diffuser” that are on the Select trim make things look even worse.
Yeah, it’s not ideal on the plastic trim. I even thought about seeing if I could get it wrapped so it was shiny but I don’t think I’ll bother. I too think the vapour blue makes it look cheap.
I didn’t mind the carbonise grey as I thought that hid the black cheap plastic well, we are even considering a black one as although it’s the cheapest paint option and non-metallic still think it looks quite good and definitely hides the black

When you say the three are not available to “you” is that because they have been promised to other buyers or they are too far away from you to travel.
They have been allocated as dealers stock and I don’t know which dealers (if it says available within one week it’s a dealer if it says four weeks it’s central stock)
I’m going to give ford a ring in the morning and see if they’ll tell me which dealers they’re at and then see if they’ll sell them to me as a Motability customer

The three that say delivery within one week are not available to me as they are dealer stock the only other one that says delivery with four weeks (Central stock so is available to me) doesn’t have the tech pack.

I wonder what would happen if you selected the ‘Send to dealer’ option on the website? I know they’ll send your details to that dealer but I do wonder if the car follows.
Yeah they do just send your details to the dealer. The dealer has my details In fact the dealer has my deposit. He just can’t get the car in the colour I want, funnily enough, he didn’t mention this until after the deposit was paid
According to the Ford website, there are 2 reds with tech pack and 1 red and 2 blues without tech pack all available with 1 week delivery, which suggests they’re at the central depot. Whilst the list your dealer is seeing may be more up to date, there’s also a chance they’re more reluctant to get one for Motability customers? Definitely worth asking elsewhere (phone up a dealer somewhere else and see what they can get).

Thanks for the reply, Ford won’t do a factory order on the Mustang, they have centrally located stock that you have to pick from it’s the same for retail customers.
That was the point of my question. I want to know if anyone knows how often the centrally located stock getting updated.
On the Ford stock locator if it says available within one week it’s at a dealers if it says within four weeks it’s central stock at Dagenham.
WMC forum will there be a separate section post for all the new prices coming in on Monday ? I will be in tears with the emotion of seeing the prices rise if that happens or be so happy if they fall ! I find it like the Eurovision Song Contest with the votes coming in all the different makes adding cars and the price changes ! If the price comes down I’m opening my bottle of baileys Monday evening
I am the same. we are off tomorrow to order a mustang and I’ve already told the sales guy I may well be back on the phone on Monday to cancel and re-order. I am hoping for some sort of drop on the 5K AP but if not at least I have my order locked in.
I too would come off the scheme,we are going to order a Mustang in the next couple of days and with the five grand advance payment I was seriously tempted to just buy a secondhand one but the insurance is around £2200 it’s just not financially valuable, I will certainly look again at the end of this lease
