There’s clearly some ‘mature’ folk on here, so how about enlightening us with the details of your first car.

Mine was an Austin A35. Bought by my parents when I was learning to drive in 1972. I think it was built around 1956-ish, with the registration plate being 5600AC. (If we only knew then…). It was the ‘newish’ model with flashing indicators, not them old sticking-out trafficator thingies. The colour was grey, can’t remember the inside, and I used to buy 3 gallons of 4-star petrol for £1.02 at a time.

(The registration is now on a Jaguar XJ8, and before that on a Ford Escort; and my initials are AD.)

    Hi Everyone

My first car was an Austin Cambridge that I purchase at a ripe old age of 17 in 1975. it was dark blue, don’t remember the registration number. I had it for about 6 months before the MOT was due, which it failed miserably, and would have cost far too much to repair, so it went to someone who used to Banger race those types of car. My next one was a Vauxhall Viva HA in white.
