Top tips for winter driving, plus the do’s and don’ts for handling snow and ice
It gets cold in the winter and often wet, foggy and icy too. In the same way that you would adjust your clothing according to the prevailing conditions, motorists should think about tweaking the way they drive and the precautions they take to stay safe on the roads.Our winter driving tips will give you a solid outline of the things to consider when driving in conditions where visibility and grip can be in sort supply. We joined forces with the experts at Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, Weybridge, Surrey. We used the experiences from one of their intense winter driving courses to produce the “do’s and don’ts” list shown below. The aim is to help ensure you are prepared to drive in seriously bad weather.
