Which manufacturers/Dealership is going to be first to offer deals

      Im wondering who is going to be first to offer motability like deals for there cars?

        It’s always been very difficult for anyone to compete with Motability, as it’s only Motability that has the block VAT exemption. That situation remains (at least for the core lease), so they retain that competitive advantage.

        However, if Motability persist with the 25p per mile surcharge, which would add £7,500 to the £13,000 sacrificed benefits plus AP (for someone who does 20,000 miles a year), then a private lease, where you can set your annual mileage up front for a fraction of the cost that Motability will now charge, may start to work out a lot cheaper, even with the VAT included!

            Surely this is when we will see the “Made in Britain” come into effect and see big offers/low AP’s on the Nissan Leaf… it just makes sense for this car to be the main one on Motability for who it suits.

              Juggernauts like Arnold Clark should be able to offer deals on new and used that are quite competitive and once the full impact of Motability is laid bare, I can see such groups dong so. BigDave has pointed out one (perhaps smaller group), who has sonmething up its sleeve.
