Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.

The weather seems to have stalled on ‘overcast’, but at least it’s dry and not sub-zero.
Thames Water came out again on Monday pm to clear the main drain under the road again – 3rd time in 6 weeks.Ā Same chap as came the first time and he said he’s managed to punch a hole through the blockage so stuff has drained away, but (apparently) TW have to be called to fix the same problem four timesĀ before they’ll dispatch a CityFlex/CityVav lorry that has the power to vacuum out/pressure blast through the big blockages under the road.
I’m almost certain we’ll have to call them out again next month but, in the meantime, DH has written to the relevant whoever regarding the whole situation.
Meanwhile I’m having to be off the drugs for the next 24 hours so everything has time to revert to ‘normal’ before I see the Specialist tomorrow afternoon.
In the meantime I’ve been watching three very interesting episodes of the endlessly watchable Technology ConnectionsĀ on the interwebs about the history of RCA and their launch of the CED (Wiki – “The Capacitance Electronic Disc (CED) is an analog video disc playback system developed by RCA, in which video and audio could be played back on a TV set using a special needle and high-density groove system similar to phonograph records”).Ā I was going to put it on Interesting Stuff but I can’t face looking for that at the mo, so here are the links if anyone else is interested in 20th century tech history:

Started grey but now clearing with more than a few glimpses of the sun. Hope it’ll be dry-ish and warm like yesterday, when the lawn got its first 2022 cut. Not by me, I must add. Another intervertebral disc decided to give up yesterday and there’s hardly any movement going on. What there is is accompanied by two sticks and much shouting in pain. Even so, that Oxycodone is a doozie! Still can’t move but pain is under control.

I think the winds were as predicted, well up here anyway. Garden furniture and plant pots blown all over the garden.

Been relatively clear overnight recently and, when the syndrome gets me and I have to get up in early hours, just before dawn Venus is the brightest I’ve ever seen out to the south-east.

It’s a dull wet day here in the Malvern Hills.
However, there is welcome respite for the birds and small creatures that inhabit my garden and the area below it …. The Sparrow Hawk that perches for hours high in a tree at the bottom of my garden on a regular basis, has decided to seek shelter and take the day off.
