Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.

That’s a nice Green Man. Though he, too, can look pretty scary when he wants to, with foliage springing from his mouth. The ‘foliate head’ (the term ‘Green Man’ was coined by Lady Raglan, a keen Folklorist) is another of those pagan images that sometime appear in or on old churches, too (Let’s hear it for subversive stone masons!).

Same here, Joss. Aggressively grey. Indeterminate drizzle right now but tipped it down overnight. Trying to remember what that big yellow thing in the sky looks like! 🌞

Weather is still the same. No sign of the yellow ball in the sky, Still raining albeit the ‘orrible drizzle type the clings to you and seep through. OFC I use my trusty rain can’t get through jacket. Shake like a dog and it sheds the water beads.

persistant mizzle here,very ddepressing, dark and gloomy been that way for days it seems.small pond developing in back garden lawn. reckon i am going to have to give it a good forking once its warm enough.
Beautiful Sunrise this morning – an almost clear sky with just a single band of low cloud being under-lit pink by the as-yet unseen Sun.

Well day one of year 2022 and the sky is lit up with a surreal golden glow. Could this be the sun? My god I do believe that it is.

Sunny, mild and windy.
Another lovely morning – Plenty of Sunshine and some light cloud.
We’ve been following the news regarding the Colorado wild fires over the past couple of days. DH has a lot of friends and work colleagues living around the Broomfield area (the company he works for has Divisions in Boulder and Broomfield and DH has been over there countless times in the last 30 years). Many were evacuated and all have now been accounted for, though no news so far as to whether their properties have survived intact. Looking at the ‘fire-zone’ maps it looks like they have all been lucky, so fingers crossed. Now they’re having to deal with heavy snow falls and tonight it’s dropping to -19c (yes, minus nineteen)!
Initial news reports said ‘No casualties’, but this morning it seems there are 3 missing presumed dead. Again, snow falls aren’t helping the Search and Rescue teams.
We might sometimes complain about the rain, but there’s a lot to be said for our damp and boring weather.

A bit cooler and cloudier this morning, but the view from the window was briefly improved by the sight of two ‘geographically challenged’ seagulls and then three hunting buzzards who have come up from the Downs – two clearly a pair working together, plus a third hanging off by about half a mile.
Turned a bit nippy up here. Bright sun very low causing me to adorn sun glasses. Come mid day the sun had gone ( 1/2 days holiday again) and temps fell rapidly there after.

Reasonable start, but now raining quite heavily. It’s supposed to brighten up a bit later on, though. Maybe even a bit of Sunshine this afternoon. I think it’s a bit too blowy for interesting birds today.
My sister ‘phoned me from the Spies car park on the Ridgeway* half an hour ago to say it’s 1.5c and snowing up there!
*Foreign spies really did park surveillance vans up there during the 1950’s.
Forgot to explain – they were spying on the Harwell Lab complex, which is overlooked by the car park – though you’ll need a pair of bins to see anything.
So the temperature dropped to less than 2c after lunch and it snowed – very briefly and it didn’t settle, but it was snow, none the less.
Just arranged appointment with Ford Motab. specialist for Monday, to order the Puma Vignale. The AP for the Pumas seem to be the only ones on the scheme that didn’t sky rocket for Q1. Amazing!
Don’t think much of the “brightening” forecast. There was a glimpse of sun about 11am so Mrs T and dog set off for constitutional. Ten minutes or so later heavens opened. Both soaked and not happy!
Same forecast promised bright sun but cold for now. Reality is dull and grey. But wasn’t it always!
Good luck with the Puma, Georgie. It is just a few mil different from my T-Roc all round and I have found that size to be just right. “Small” enough to drive like a hatch but “big” enough to be well comfy.
Yes, the weather’s definitely been a bit sneaky today. Sun, rain, snow, Sun, drizzle, Sun . . . Whatever you choose to wear will be utterly wrong for the time you’re out in it.

I’m certainly not expecting it to handle like a Mini or a TT around the bends, etc. (I don’t even expect that from the Golf), but I’ve driven it across all sorts of road surfaces and the ride was consistently Goldilocks – not so hard it hurt my spine or too soft it wallowed – and all the reviews say it handles really well (for a small SUV) and is fun to drive.
All I need to do now is try and wrangle a deal regarding the colour.
Perfectly clear, bright sun and well chilly. Now doing about 2C but has been below zero overnight. Wish the T-Roc had heated front screen because there is hefty coating of frost on it.
Reckon you’ll really enjoy the Puma, Georgie. Reviews consistently say it drives well, can be satisfying through corners yet still deliver a comfy ride. No, it’s never going to be laugh-out-loud fun like the Mini or TT. But, like the VW, I’ll bet it’ll put a big smile on your face.

Ditto @Brydo. Even with sun glasses on it is still blinding. So extra caution is needed whilst driving.
