ParticipantIve noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol. -

ParticipantProbably not, Wigwam. But, there again, neither of them would have been there without the great Blues artists like Broonzy, Estes, Waters etc.

Yesterday is a good film – seen it three times now. Reminds me of Gary Sparrow’s (alleged) compositions in Goodnight Sweetheart.
Weather is meh, but mostly dry. Birds are quiet. Squirrel has disappeared from out the back but we do have a hedgehog out the front now, which is a good excuse for not cutting back the undergrowth. 🙂

🌤☀️☁️☀️Great to see bees in amongst and on the sunflowers this morning…..😌
Georgie
When the sun’s out the bees are all over the honeysuckle, which has positively rampaged this year.
joss
ModeratorIt was a gray start to the day. Then my new T.V arrived and now the sun is shining.

Quite. My ‘Hazelnut’ and ‘French Vanilla’ decaf coffees arrived half and hour ago (both Out of Stock for weeks!) and nowI’m halfway through my first cupful and everything’s looking much better. In fact, the sun has just this second come out!
Tharg
ParticipantPretty much Meh! here too but might be brightening into a Hmmm… They are playing tennis in a little sunshine at Eastbourne. It is only 40 or so miles along the coast to the east, with wind from that direction it might get here is some 30 minutes.
Hazelnut and French Vanilla decaf? Intriguing. Can only have maximum four proper coffees per day. The rest are decafs and those flavours will brighten it up a bit.

🌤🌦☀️ awake as it got light this morning cool almost cold mmmmm, sky looks clear I think it’s a great day ahead..
What a lovely Morning..🐝🐝🐞🦆🦉🐓🐑🐂🌻🌸🌼🪴🌿🌛🌞🐿🍎🍐🍓☕️☕️🥐🥯

ParticipantBrighter here too. Temperature at around 16C at the moment. Should rise to 20-ish. Mowing will be needed. Have to use the electric as there’s just too much for the Brunel. Back down to summer number of layers of clothing. May even rescue shorts from cupboard this afternoon. 🩳

🌧☁️🌧☁️ night into morning..

Nice day, sunny with occasional light cloud and not too hot.
Just went for a wander around the garden and spotted apples forming nicely on the apple tree. Plenty of happy bees around, too.
Didn’t get to go out yesterday as I’ve strained the left shoulder, elbow, wrist and knuckles. Too much D minor on Tuesday – I knew I shouldn’t have gone for that third ’10 minute’ stint but I never learn . . .
Tharg – I order the coffee direct from Littles: https://www.wearelittles.com/
1 x 6 50g Decaf Hazelnut (Mix and Match) @£18
1 x 6 50g Decaf French Vanilla (Mix and Match) @£18
= 12 jars for £36 (free delivery for orders over £30)
‘Chocolate Caramel’ and ‘Island Coconut’ flavours are also available in decaf, but I’m not a fan. We stick to Waitrose decaf throughout the day and have a ‘flavour’ in the evening. 🙂
And there are lots of interesting full caf. flavours available, too, of course!

ParticipantStarted bright but clouded up now. Still warm though. Just had to take Mrs T to the “Hot” Clinic at Worthing Hosp. After nearly three weeks the result of her MRI has still not got through to her consultant. So she has kept on making a noise until something gets done. Hope they have a doc there who can look at a thing the size of a rugger ball (and in all sorts of colours, purple, blue etc) which she has where a normal skinny-bird navel ought to be. Moreover, hope said doc can realise that there really IS something wrong which needs attention.

It’s been a weird one today started 🌞then went☁️🌥🌦now ☁️☁️With expected 🌩🌧🌩tonight..

ParticipantStarted wet. Now cleared up a good bit. Big yellow warm thing in sky. No complaints; saved me doing the watering!
joss
Moderatoroh what a gray dull day. Light splashes of rain and no sigh of the big yellow thing.

ParticipantBright, some high cloud, quite warm at 19C and climbing. More lawn work today, I think, to beat what sounds like a good few days of rain.
Georgie
Foggy first thing. I think the trees trap the colder air, or something. Better now, though a bit overcast. The biggest issue is the heat – how can I be feeling cold when the thermostat is reading 20.5c?!
Had to take a couple of days bed rest over the weekend (didn’t get to go for that drive, alas) and am currently doing small bouts of ‘activity’. Ho-hum.
Tharg – Dear gods, what are the doctors hanging around for? {{{Mrs. T.}}}
Tharg
ParticipantGrey, totally overcast, might rain later. Bleurgh.
Doctors being bloody useless as ever. Madam went to hospital “Hot” clinic and got no further than being told, basically, the quack she saw did not know what was causing the swelling and inability to eat. But she “was lucky to be alive after two very major life-threatening operations.” Well, thanks a bunch, mate. We sort of knew that ourselves.
It is now been three weeks since her MRI and the consultant still not received the results. He also referred her to a gut specialist for the eating problems. All we know about said referral is that she has been put on the “non-urgent” list.
All in all, just what we have come to expect from our marvellous “NHS Heroes”. Mindless, incompetent and couldn’t-care-less (unless there’s a chance of blame being got).

Another beautiful day in central Scotland, heading to the beach today then a couple of nights break at a lovely hotel.

ParticipantLucky people north of the border! Not jealous. Not really. Just bleurgh here on south coast. Grey. Rains a bit. Not too cold though. Hoping that it at least dries up over next few days.

Winston on the brash at north Berwick no specs so can’t see what I’ve written lol

That should have been “on the beach”. Great day today but back home now, sun still shining cracking night.

Having read about the current heatwave and related deaths in Canada I actually feel quite happy that it’s a bit cool and overcast here today. Though, just to be ‘contrary’, I do with it were just a degree or two warmer so that I could open the patio doors and enjoy the honeysuckle before it finishes flowering. 🙂
Tharg
ParticipantWarm, cloudy, brightening. Should get to around 20C – forecast is for 18C, but we in the Ferring Tesseract always get a couple of extra degrees. Saw Ms Kirkwood being interviewed this a.m. and talking about long-term forecasting and how impossible it is. Chaos factor just too big, She reckons, though, that we could be in for a couple of “heatwave” factors over next couple of months. Suppose she means about 25C so I’ll not complain! 😎
Have a honeysuckle just outside kitchen window; evening washing-up with open window is a delight!
