Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).

Dull windy and wet in *sunny* Bournemouth. Just found an advantage of a winter GE. I got to meet neighbours I wouldn’t normally see until March.

December 21, 2019 at 11:34 pm #100958Many fields, particularly close to rivers have flooded but the forecast is for some dry weather, out grass is mulchy and we have land drainage. at least its mild, not bitter and there are a few stout people and some small and larger ones.

Had to take my gazebos netting and cloth top off after the last one as they were ripped to shreds.

ThargDull; grey; aggresive drizzle. Medium southerly wind bringing more (W Sussex coast). Only “bright” spot – sunset now circa 5pm and getting later day-by-day. Roll on Spring!

GeorgieTail end of Hurricane thingy . . . Brendan . . . has just arrived in Farnham. Very wet. Wind now getting strong gusts that are wuthering around the garage and hooting down the chimney.
Jolly glad I’m inside, warm and dry and full of Sweet & Sour Chicken, watching a prog. about the Arrows F1 Team. Which has just finished, and now it’s Star Trek.
It’s a hard life. 🙂

ThargMy “medium southerly” now veered into a bloody great howling south-westerly. Storm Brendan has turned up the throttles on the “aggressive drizzle” turning it into extremely violent downpour. Garden awash; dog took one look at it and strolled back to sofa. Thankfully, sat-dish still attached to wall so will settle down to snooker on Eurosport and ignore storm noise.
January 13, 2020 at 11:02 pm #103028Gale force winds, torrential rain and thunder and lightning here. Forecast to continue into the night.

GeorgieVery wet at the moment, but the really strong winds haven’t arrived yet. I think Wales and Midlands are getting hammered right now.
Yesterday it was only windy for about 30 minutes, so maybe my place just caught the top edge of the southern dose.
January 14, 2020 at 3:03 pm #103076Wakefield, shite as usual, cold, wet and windy.
