I’d say value for money, the Seat Tarraco excellence lux comes with bags of toys and gadgets large size for realistically not much money

Just come to the end of leasing a Hyundai Tucson catering for a family of 4. Did the job, good spec, nothing special but cost a nominal AP. Just ordered something bigger as family are growing!
Scott
Tiguan , tiguan and probably tiguan .

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Amen Scott, just ordered the Allspace 👏👍</p>

ParticipantProbably Ateca, why ? Because it’s the best driving SUV and the best value specifications in terms of the deposit, though the BMW X1/2 is very appealing and capable
Currently driving Seat Ateca 2.0 FR Sport TDI 190 DSG 4drive

Depends what you prefer, I would say SEAT brand if you’re into better handling and sportiness at a cost of firmer ride. I’d assume its similar with the BMW?
Volkswagen Tiguan and Allspace if you’re into comfort ride.
Vauxhall Grandland X for ease of use and value. Infotainment system has all the features without being overly complicated like the VW group, its responsive and it does what it’s supposed to do.

ParticipantAs @File28 lists you are really spoilt for choice with lots of really good family SUVs. There’s a reason they are so popular with familys they just do everything so well. Just personal taste and budget to dictate choice.
Current car
Peugeot 5008 Allure Premium
Previous Cars
VW Touran SELfile28
Participantwe have ordered the Ateca with 4drive which gets rid of the torsion bar in the rear suspension which improves the ride but because its the black edition its virtually a FR sport with 19 inch wheels it will be a little stiffer but thats how i prefer it probably because of my love for early escorts with billys added

I have to say i’m quite impressed with what I have seen of the MG HS.
It’s crammed full of tech even on the mid trim “Excite”, the auto can be had for just £199 Advanced Payment.
I think the main reason it has caught my eye is the adaptive cruise control which I recently tried in America for a couple of weeks and loved.

ParticipantI would read owner reviews and honest John mpg !

Why does the Honda CRV never get a mention here?
Menorca Mike
ParticipantBecause it’s so boring ?

ParticipantThe Honda Crv is expensive for what it is but worth a look if you’ve given up on life. Joke.
The alteca was a big no for me as the rear seats have an awkward lip when you fold the rear seats down.
I can’t understand why they couldn’t design it like the Tiguan and have a completely flat load floor.Id say though for real family practicality look at a Vw Touran or even the Ford smax.
File28
You can get the Ateca with an adjustable floor to raise the boot area
Markw
ParticipantThe Ateca, it depends if you get the spare wheel option, then the boot floor is level, the lip is inconvenient, especially for our dog, but it’s not alone in this aspect

ParticipantIt’s sloppy design when the car it’s based on has a completely flat load space.
The Tiguan also has a full size spare wheel and the two hight boot floor as standard.
As it’s only a lease car and not a private purchase why go for the seat, go for the higher list price Tiguan you get more tech as standard for your money plus the added practically.bfoandc
Do check on real-life MPG – we got the Ateca last year and the MPG is really poor. We have had other issues as well but I know that faults can happen on any vehicle. Since the AP and fuel are the only things we have to pay for out of our income/savings I think that MPG is pretty important.
Markw
ParticipantFor the same AP, the Ateca has full leather, essential in a vehicle with premium aspirations, DSG gearbox and 4wd versus the bog standard Tiguan
