We had a previous thread on this but I couldn’t find it 😔
I’ve returned to watching “Bosch” on Prime. I’ve watched it before but it was a while ago and although I remember the odd scene mist of it is new to me.
I’ve also watched “Bosch: Legacy” recently and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I’m halfway through SAS: Rogue Heroes also on Prime. It has taken a while to get into it but enjoying it.
Scurrying off to check Bosch now!

April 30, 2025 at 11:02 am #304952Another Bosch fan here, not got round to Bosch Legacy yet though.
A lot of what I watch are American TV shows, currently FBI, International and Most Wanted, NCIS and Origins, Law & Order SVU, Will Trent.
Other than those Below Deck in various versions and any of the better Scandi series, loved Borgen and Broen (The Bridge).
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
April 30, 2025 at 11:09 am #304953Just found the mini series Snatch on Netflix. It’s based on the Guy Richie film of the same name and has two series. Really funny, a very good watch. I don’t watch half as much TV as I did just two years ago. Watch almost zero terrestrial TV.
I watch YouTube a lot, recently got into people wild camping in the UK. There’s a young woman, Wildbeare, who just goes of with her tent and spends a couple of days in the Scottish highlands, welsh mountains or even a Forrest near her house, on her own and wild camps, even in the winter with snow on the ground. Some of her videos get millions of views. I can’t recommend her YouTube channel enough!
Think I’m finally about to send back my Sky box.

April 30, 2025 at 8:07 pm #304969Jojoe i will give snatch a look 👀 Im never off youtube, every diy post on it I watch (well probably not them all)
Mitch, I liked Night Agent too.
Phaedra I dip in and out of Will Trent, I don’t know why it doesn’t keep my attention.

Don’t want entertainment which causes me to think; just want to relax. Particularly like the small batch of eccentric UK-made crime stuff like Annika and Whitstable Pearl. Still lightweight but with nice quirky bits.
Also, I scour the delightful Talking Pictures TV for old kids’ programmes which I may have seen when first broadcast back in the geological past. Like to observe how well they’ve aged. Supercar, Stingray, and the astounding Space Patrol. Amazing to see how much the SF ones completely discard the science of reality: astronauts space-walk from ship to ship without any protective gear, without any oxygen either, just breath pure vacuum. Of, and the Clangers is just brilliant.
Interplanetary journey times, too, are a scream. Earth to Venus in a few hours. Saturn and Jupiter take a week or two and are not gas giants but are covered in bright, bushy rainforest.
May 2, 2025 at 9:19 am #305018Space Patrol with Captain Larry Dart!!! One of my favourites, very few of my friends had ever heard of it!
I have that on DVD in my attic!

May 2, 2025 at 3:40 pm #305032Just found the mini series Snatch on Netflix.
Snatch was a great film, if the series is half as good, it’ll be a winner.

May 2, 2025 at 10:51 pm #305041Big fan of Bosch and Bosch:Legacy. Still need to watch the final season of Legacy. Really good shows.
I had a trial of Paramount+ and watched some of the Taylor Sheridan shows. Really enjoyed Landman with billy Bob Thornton and Lioness (both series). Some of the action scenes in lioness, particularly in season 2 are some of the best action scenes I’ve EVER seen on tv.Yellowstone and 1883 are Taylor Sheridan too. They’re on Netflix at the moment. Both really good although you have to sit through some randomness of Yellowstone series 1 before it gets really good
May 4, 2025 at 8:11 am #305073Thank you @Phaedra … Dart, Husky and Slim are my favourite spaceship crew. Like you, none of my friends have even heard of it. Was worried that I might be imagining it all! Love the oft repeated take-off sequence – so what do you think the YOBBA rays do then?
May 4, 2025 at 11:07 am #305086Fred Dibnah again!
May 5, 2025 at 7:37 am #305113@Phaedra and any other Space Patrol fans… One thing which punches home from the series is the free and easy approach to weapons of mass destruction. When some disastrous event threatens say, a city or an ocean and conventional solutions won’t work then Colonel Raeburn is quick to go to the Red Button. On a number of occasions he is heard to say, “Well, we’ll have to send in the nuclear missiles/rockets/bombs…”
Series made in 1962 and I thought they knew about fallout contamination then.
June 1, 2025 at 10:04 pm #306107Just started rewatching “Battlestar Galactica” I watched it a few years ago and enjoyed it, let’s see if it’s stood the test of time.
Its in ITV X
