I have driven diesel cars for the last 40 years most with a variant of colour of the diesel itself. I hate the thought of having to get a petrol car.

VW are stopping selling diesel cars. They have 3 cars available the golf, Tayron Elegance model and the Tourag. On the Motability website it says the Tiguan and the Tayron are available but they are no more.
I have phoned 2 VW dealers today and both have confirmed that the Tiguan and Tayron are no longer available in the models available on Motability. I would have thought Motability would have been aware of this but obviously not.
I can not order anything until the 28th June. Looks like it will have to be a petrol car. I was going to get a Tiguan black edition as my last Diesel car. I will have a couple of days to get my order in before the 1st of July.
You can out the diesel VW factory order in before your june, and when your motability window opens it is assigned. I done that before, factory order before window opened, assigned as a motability car with the correct motability code. The model was dropped from the scheme by motability, but the order is firm. When my motability window opened the car was added and approved by motability.
You just need a salesperson who is willing.

Look at other manufacturers for diesel, the choice is always dropping.
Yes Skoda kodiaq I have been looking at it. The SE is not very well equipped. I might just go for the sport line kodiaq which has every thing in it except for the diesel engine. 😂
Could always admit defeat and go for a Citreon Berlingo diesel or just totally give up and go for an Hybrid lol.
How far away are there in stockTiguan diesels – could risk putting a deposit down, if they were prepared to save it untill your order window opened.

Seat Leon unfortunately I could not get out of it. I am going to look at a tucson hybrid and the kodiaq sport line. Both have everything in them.

are you talking about diesel Tayron’s or all Tayrons here?
The Tayron in Elegance model is available as a diesel car to buy. But it is not on Motability. They are stopping selling all diesel cars in 2026.
At present the only diesel VW’s available are a golf, Tayron elegance and a tourag. None of which are on Motability. It says on Motability website they are available, but they are not available on the VW website. Tayron petrol is available ok.
I ordered tayron r line diesel in April, haven’t heard otherwise yet
They only took them off Friday 1st May yours will be fine.
I think it’s worth remembering every single Motability dealer works differently and very often miss information is given
If diesels are still available on the website to order and someone above is saying they ordered one last month it’d probably the case the dealer that spoke with @belfast4 is wrong
Go on to VW website and build one, you will find they are not available anymore. You can not choose a diesel except in the ones I mentioned above.
