      Hi

Just ordered new Volvo XC40 and there is a section for tracking order in the Volvo account.I contacted Volvo and they said it is possible if the order is in your name. So is the order sent in my name or is it under motability. It would be good to see the build status.

      Thanks.

I don’t think you can track your order as Motability is their customer – it’s an order for the Motability fleet. I am unable to track my Renault Austral for the same reason.

It seems to vary by manufacturer though, as some do llet us see order progress.

Current: MY24 Renault Austral Iconic FHD.
Ordered 5/2/26: Chery Tiggo 8 'Summit' ICE

        Previous Motability cars:
        2013 Ford Focus estate auto.
2016 Vauxhal Zafira 1.4T SE Auto.
2019 Ford Kuga Vignale 1.5 auto AWD. (Ext lease)

If you download the volvo cars app and make an account using same email address as you gave to the dealer it should show up once the order is placed. Just so you know placing the order with the dealer doesn’t mean its actually placed with production yet. If it doesn’t show up you can add the car once its assigned a vin number.

So if you keep in touch with the dealer to find out when the order is assigned a build date then check the app, if it doesn’t show ask the dealer to give you the vin number and you can add the car manually then track it.

          Hope that helps

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Also regarding confusicated’ comment I think it’s different with volvo as the same tracking app is the app that’s used in conjunction with the car so it would be pointless for motability to have access to it as you wouldn’t be able to use the remote features on the car.</p>
