Underwhelming response from Nissan sales and chat.

      Little rant.

I’m interested in the Tekna trim of the Qashqai e-power now it’s back.

I’m hard of hearing, so phone calls are hard.

I got onto Nissan chat yesterday morning, having clicked the “Interested in buying a new Nissan” radio button on the way in. I genuinely am and foolishly though this might get their attention. You see, the Nissan website still shows Q3 Motability, not Q4. I wanted confirmation that the Tekna epower was back. Couldn’t help. Didn’t seem to care very much. Did say they might be able to help after the 3rd.

Next I used the local dealer contact form – remember phone is hard for me – expressing interest and asking them the same question. No response >24 hours later. Not even a ‘robot’ acknowledgement.

Yes, I have confirmed e-mal address and checked my spam folder.

Do they not want/need the business?

Perhaps I should go look at an Austral – it’s £500 cheaper.

Have you looked at Motability themselves for prices first? In my experience a lot of businesses don’t really care about online contact us style communication. I’ve emailed dealers about sales before and never had a reply. Emailed VW dealer about whether they even had a car to test drive got a reply weeks later.

I don’t generally do phone calls not so much as hard of hearing but just generally find speaking on the phone very uncomfortable.

I filled in the form for a 48 hour Skoda Enyaq test drive last night we’ll see how long that takes to get an answer.

Other than going to a dealer yourself I don’t know what to suggest other than try contacting a different dealer and see if you have better luck with them.

Crayford and Abbs my local Nissan and MG dealer answer emails very fast. I’ve emailed for a service booking and I’ve had a reply with booking minutes later I’ll be sad to leave them next year tbh

        Good luck

I did look at Motability first – that’s how I got the price and discovered it was back on the scheme.

I prefer not turning up unannounced in case the Motability rep isn’t available. My experience with non-Motability sales reps at many different dealers is that they can’t be bothered to deal with you when they realise you’re Motability.

I’ve tried another dealer, so we will see.
