The ever reliable Hyundai Ioniq 5 did its job well yesterday from Teesside to Wembley and back.

stopped once on the way down and once on the way up on the Wembley trip at Peterborough Services to take advantage of the 350kw chargers

i was travelling at 70mph give or take +- 5mph  got around 3.4 miles / kWh

    lovely and comfortable

shame the mighty Boro didn’t quite handle the trip quite as well.

I must give Wembley Stadium Staff their dues, what a brilliant helpful bunch, followed me to near my seat ( 5 steps down) so I got out of my wheelchair and they stored my wheelchair until the end of the match and brought it back, if you’re a partial wheelchair user like me ( I can’t stand or walk as much as needed for a day like this) or full time don’t be deterred going to Wembley.

Good trip, I’ve got the Ioniq 6 and it is brilliant for covering long distances 👍

As a Southampton FC season ticket holder – I couldn’t have hoped for a better result on Saturday!

At least we’ll have four tasty games next season now ; Pompey & Boro home and away.

I felt really sorry for Southampton fans who were cheated out of a chance to play in the premier league by the senior management of the team they support, bullying junior staff, denying it was a systemic problem. Really awful for fans to go through

        until……

I read that last post. But taking the piss out of other football fans because of your own club’s internal cheating is pretty sad. Enjoy starting on -4 points next season

        lolz

I’m looking forward to seeing Middlesbrough play Southampton too

Went down to FA Cup Semi final at Wemhoey a couple of weeks ago, but went by train as it was much easier to do, with train stopping at Wembley station.

I took my folding scooter (Movinglife Atto sport)

Very easy, plus had wheelchair space in the stadium, again easy to get to

That’s fantastic I think with more planning ( obviously as a Boro fan didn’t have a lot of time ) I think I would have gotten the train. Such an easy option from Teesside.

Interesting… 3.4 miles /kWh… Is it because the Smoggies have flatter roads? As going a bit further to my Geordies family and the Uni I can never manage anything better than 2.5 in the winter and maybe, maybe, 3.1 in the summer.

Did you use A/C on your way either South or back home?

            Hahaha,

            night be lol

i had ac on constantly as it was effing roasting. I think “normal” is a better mode than “eco” on long motorway journeys I use radar / intelligent cruise control for most of it if I can

recuperation is on low to allow more rolling road and therefore less use of accelerator if not using radar cruise.

Same here, but I have Skoda Enyaq 85x. Maybe your Ioniq 5 is more efficient.
