Now done 200 miles showing 65.9 mpg not done over 70 mph country roads town and dual carriageway love the ride and quietness and the equipment but the seat I’m trying different positions to get comfortable I will get there it’s my back due to spinal injury 40 years ago ! I’m glad I got it as higher up to get in nice driving position and looks great imho heater air controls easy to do as is sat nav and keyless so handy . I had 3 VW Golfs so it’s a big change but I’m overall very impressed

Sounds like you’re really pleased with the new car, Mike.  I know what you mean about getting the right seating position, it can take some time for everything to bed in.  Agree with you about keyless, wouldn’t want to go back to keys now.

In the C-HR I had on loan I had to raise the back of the seat base as the height adjustment didn’t affect the front of the seat and either it was in the sky but level or normal height and dug into the backs of my thighs, progressive spacers reducing back to front brought the base seat angle to a comfortable level and took about 10 minutes with a ratchet spanner and a handfull of washers.

Hi John I’ve found my perfect seat position today the sports seats are firm but the ride is superb glides over pot holes and speed bumps

Great you’re loving it & found your perfect position. It’s in my 3 shortlisted cars I’m considering for replacement.
I loved my recent test drive and it’s the 1.8 in design trim I’d get.
my only concern was on dual carriageway it seemed a little underpowered – how have you found it & general driving dynamics?

Dante yes I will be honest with you it does feel a little underpowered on dual carriageways if you want a fast car I’d go for a Seat Leon FR but it sticks to the road has a superb ride and fantastic mpg and the equipment list is great too ! I’m just back from my big Tesco the heater and de mister for windscreen and climate control are so easy to do no touch screen etc to fiddle with and take your eyes off the road ! Adore the keyless the sat nav the 18 inch alloys the auto folding mirrors etc I’ve yet to try the park assist ! If you want comfort quietness mpg it’s fab if you want a fast car look elsewhere

I like how the silver alloys go with the metal stream metallic paint

Cheers Mike no fast car for me but I like good power abs torque to overtake and at junctions.
at the moment my choice is between the CHR, the seat Ateca FR sport or the new Citroen C4

but loving your pictures – the Dacuma Grey colour with those alloys looks superb

Hi Mike, what is the quality on the sat nav and sound system like?

we took one out last year, it was a 2016 model, and it was awful.
