Just got our Volvo xc40 PHEV yesterday, battery wasn’t charged 😞. I plan to log the mileage I do and the fossil fuel I put in, on a regular basis.

The Volvo app doesn’t give as much info as some so feel free to enter your own info, in as much detail as you want, to give those sitting on the fence the info they need to make the decision that is correct for them.

Obviously this thread relates to BEVs as well as PHEV.

I’m the same I love my Ev but this is because 90% of the journeys I do are in its daily range and I can charge at home.

Going to get a truck like Windy’s when I can reorder (hope this doesn’t put the mockers on it being on the scheme). October is changeover month.

Today’s journey a real mixed bag of country lanes dual carriageway and some motorway, climate control on auto set at 23 degrees, normal driving at speed limits where able.

    This would give a range of 64 x 5.89 = 376miles 😱

My overall average 4.85kWh/mile would give an average range of 310 miles.

Excellent return Struth, it’s probably, as you say, down to the better weather.

We’ve only had the xc40 PHEV for a couple of weeks but I know, from what I’ve experienced so far, that a full BEV with 150 miles range would do us, no problem. By the time we change over in three years there won’t be a car on the scheme with less than 250 miles per full charge 👍😎😀

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I think we should organise a WMCF meet up, I live in Stirling so I’m know I’m close to at least a few people here. Although I would like to wait until mid June so I have my new car.</p>

I’m just coming up to 25k now in the Kona, it’s a great car, and has to be about the best economy out there.

Moved home now, so not reliant on public charging anymore either
