Received an e-mail from motability today offering an extension of our lease for 15 months, never requested one came out of the blue, they’re willing to extend until January 2028 Shame that they couldn’t be this helpful years ago The extension was also offering the same lease terms 20k miles per annum and the tyres as per usual Still going through with the Tesla Have they been reading my emails??? Or has Elon grassed on me
Sounds like it’s dawning on them how many people are serious about leaving the scheme.
To be fair, I reckoned they listened to an accountant who suggested they were still the cheapest in a strategy meeting at some point.
They did not factor in the Drive Smart would be an issue or that the AP,s had become unaffordable to most people.
Then a Tesla lease deal came along at £200/month…

I m not sure, and cannot remember being asked.?
But am hoping its the Edinburgh one.
Does standard trim come with HW4 already? Or it is still HW3?

Personally I’m not a fan of FSD I would rather drive it myself, but the blind spot features and certain things in the auto pilot are helpful

Selenium greyI asked Tesla about the oick up location and they said it would be the Glasgow service centre.
Given that it takes 4-6 weeks transit time from Shanghai to the uk, and then another couple of weeks delivery and processing within the UK.
It means that our cars are already loaded on to the ship and should be sailing very soon.
In a couple if weeks our VIN numbers should be assigned…

Also I believe that the lease deal is still available albeit a small price rise of about £17pm,

They have a community section to discuss the order and delivery process including the delivery check ie give the car a good inspection prior to taking delivery to make sure all is good where if some transport damage or paint correcting needed get it booked in under the warranty
Take a fine toothed comb with you on collection day
P.S. currently still checking the Tesla app too many times per day
Plenty of information available on Youtube about tips tricks shortcuts etc

Our cars are probably mid ocean and once the get round cape of Good Hope they start assigning VIN numbers.
My Est Del Date is 13th august to 10th Sept, so its got to be on the carrier now.
We will only know when the VIN appears…lol

Possibly we hear soon. I emailed Lex about possible delivery dates but no answer as yet, or movement on Tesla App.
@Woodpecker. Just looking at the maritime tracker and apparently it’s still sailing through the Indian Ocean and not due in Southampton until 09/08/2026
