Had a test drive this afternoon, strangely had to sign a £500 accident insurance if I write of the vehicle ? salesman was a pain in the bottom every other word was our you ready to sign today. Anyway like the car it will be a factory MY27 order with a retractable towbar, as we decided to make him suffer and make him wait, we have an appointment on Thursday work out some figures, 20 plus weeks waiting time.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

MY27 should give you Android operating system, V2L, one pedal driving, travel assist 3.0 and a 21L Frunk!Enyaq SEL is still on my list of possibles for Q4 October, not (IMO) worth paying the extra £1500 for the Plus pack though, just depends what they do with the APs

The MY27 is the reason there’s so many variations in the lists. The 84 battery is MY27, 82 is the old one.

It is not as well built as the Suzuki however at £999 it is cheap especially compared to the Suzuki £6999 AP

If it’s the Suzuki eVitara you’ve looked at the equivalent trim level to the SEL Enyaq is only £499 (eVitara Motion with 61kWh battery, the 49kWh version is £0) It’s the same car as the Toyota Urban Cruiser (which has been removed and with the 61kWh battery was £0) neither get great reviews for build/material quality.
Have you looked at the Toyota C-HR+ ?? Built on a new platform, same as the new version of the BZX4.
It starts at £495 for the Icon trim with 57kWh or the Design (which is the most popular trim) with a 77kWh battery is £1195.

It’s the “Estate” version (not really an estate though!) the Coupe is £6499 as only the Sportline 85X is offered by Motability.

I believe that V2L is part of the ‘travel pack’, and the ‘Mag-Lock Qi wireless mobile charger’ is on higher trims.

I was bit surprised ride quality very smooth, steering well balanced and responsive, seat as good and supportive as my Suzuki Across (Toyota RAV4 PHEV), road and tyre noise very quiet, it is not as well built as the Suzuki Across however it is only £999.

I’ve driven the Enyaq 85 Edition for almost two years and absolutely love it, great on motorways, nice firm drive. My only criticism is visibility when parking or navigating country lanes and passing places, I find the door sides really high, you struggle to look down over the top of them, I’m not small at 6ft but I find the Enyaq doors really high. Think of trying to see the white lines of a parking space, it’s impossible.

The SEL base model is really well equipped including heated seats, auto tailgate, only lacking electrically adjustable seats and lumbar (which some people are not bothered about, Phaedra 😆)

2017 - Audi Q3 TFSi Sport S-TronicI am just warning you and it might be a non issue, but sometimes they test drive you in the sportline 85x which is AWD, theres a decent differnet in the ride quality between the two as even at higher speeds between the two the AWD made is far more supportive.
Does the 85x still only utilise AWD upto c.20mph
It is a bit more complicated than that really, it does default to rear wheel drive at a cruise but the front motor can kick in at higher speeds too depending on how hard you are driving or if it detects slip. The combination of that and DCC is probably what makes it feel so different rather than just the AWD on its own

Absolutely.
If I can’t test drive the exact model, or failing that, a car with the same engine/motor, suspension but with a slightly different trim level, I go somewhere else.
Also, many of the higher spec models have the adaptive suspension pack added which would probably make a more significant difference than part time 4WD would.

I’ve driven both, the SEL as a loaner for about 10 days and I have an 85X. I really didn’t notice much if any difference in the ride quality. The seats in the SEL are a bit more comfy/less supportive as the 85X has sports seats. The only noticeable ride difference (apart from the 20″ wheels and crappy Bridgestone tyres on the 85X) I’ve found is in a VRS with the slightly lowered (15mm front, 10mm rear) and adaptive suspension.
Nothing wrong with the ride quality of the SEL at all, depending on Q4 prices I may end up with one myself!. Apart from the HUD the only other thing I’d miss would be the Matrix headlights, but as I’ve said I wouldn’t pay the extra £1500 for the Plus pack just to get them and a couple of other things I really don’t need.

If you don’t drive on unlit roads very often, theres the question whether you need matrix lights.
Not having the full benefit of awd at any speed should the driving situation command it kind of defeats the object of the “x” imo
