No idea on waiting times but they were fairly short last time I saw postings on the FaceBook group. And of course as it’s a current model there may well be dealer stock available.
It doesn’t have the Matrix headlights, only Led, if you want Matrix (which work very well on my 85X) you’d need to add the Plus pack at an extra £1,999
Plus Package.
Full LED Matrix beam headlights with variable light distribution.
Dynamic headlight range control with cornering light function and integrated fog light with all-weather function.
Rear LED lights with animated indicators.
Rear side airbags.
Electrically adjustable drivers seat with memory function, massage function and power adjustable lumbar support.
Manual blinds for the rear windows.
Memory function for door mirrors.Basically adding the Plus pack turns the SEL into the Edition trim for £1,749 less than the Edition’s AP of £4,499 🙂
Apart from the Matrix headlights for me there’s nothing in the pack to justify the extra £1,999, but there may be things you’d find useful 🙂
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 7, 2026 at 9:14 am #326617So it’s got keyless electric boot etc ?
January 7, 2026 at 9:16 am #326618Yes indeed 🙂
Just added that adding the Plus pack turns it into the Edition trim but £1749 less!!
It’s now back on my list for September when I can renew, assuming it’s still a bargain AP 🙂
After 2 years with the SportLine 85X the SEL wouldn’t be a huge drop in comfort etc. for me, size and range are more important. And I certainly wouldn’t pay for the Canton sound system again!, only thing I’d miss from the Advanced pack I paid for would be the HUD, I really like that 🙂

January 7, 2026 at 9:56 am #326619…. very long waiting lists ?
4-5 months apparently
January 7, 2026 at 1:39 pm #326751If you can be quick, Barlow Motors in Crewe and Stoke on Trent are offering the next 30 Motability customers the Enyaq 85 SEL with an AP of £99 instead of £749. See the Deals and Offers thread for full details.
Edit: 7th Jan 26 – Same AP price offer also at Rainworth Skoda in Sheffield and Mansfield. See the Deals and offers thread.

Depends on the season, roads (main, town, etc.) In a winter you won’t make it without using public chargers.
In a summer- a high chance that you will, unless it is M roads and you’re fully packed with people and luggage.
Assuming you will need to top up 20 kW at a price of £0.56 per kW plus fully charged 77 kW at home for £0.07 per kWh, the whole trip will cost you £17.

Edition AP £4,499!!! 😮 I’m sure we paid £1500 for the Edition Ecosuite (brown leather interior) almost 2 years ago to the very day.
January 7, 2026 at 4:30 pm #326773Yep, my 85X was (if I remember correctly) about £1249 2 years ago, the AP had dropped twice after I ordered it and the dealer re-ordered it for me each time. The currrent AP for it is £5,799 so I’m certainly not getting another.
The SEL has almost everything I need, I can do without the Plus pack as there’s really only the Matrix lights in it that I’d like but not for £1,999 :p

And you’re correct. I paid £1,599 for the 85x.
I think this was the reason why they lost half a billion pounds in 2024 – they didn’t price EVs correctly.

Motability VW Touran Family Pack May 2019 (happy customer)January 11, 2026 at 8:16 am #330792The electric boot can I open and close it from my lounge 6 feet away with the key fob ? The climate control do I have to go into the centre screen to higher or lower it ? Many thanks
January 11, 2026 at 12:28 pm #330804Remote boot, yes, mine works from inside the house, probably 3m away.
Climate control, yes, but the individual (driver/passenger side) adjustments are permanently on the bottom screen corners next to the heated seat setting, so no going into menus to get to them. Or of course you can set it using voice control. Mine stays set at 19.5, it’s more energy efficient to use the seat and steering wheel heaters 🙂

January 11, 2026 at 12:35 pm #330805There’s also physical push buttons for front and rear demisters.
January 11, 2026 at 4:02 pm #330825The rear boot opening/closing button on the inside of the driver’s side door is very convenient too.
January 11, 2026 at 4:13 pm #330827Many thanks for your replies after Tesla this has the best tested range via electrifying Guy on YouTube in a year when I change will see the price then as I said had test drive with cousin who has one and it was best ride quietest car I’d ever been in and Vertu Skoda just 5 miles from me
