i am fortunate in that so far other than an automatic gearbox and a vehicle with high seats easy to get in and out of i dont yet need the assistance of a wheelchair, scooter or the like.

however on here we hear all the time of members difficulty in finding a vehicle that will swallow chairs scooters etc because of sloping rear rooflines etc.

do you think that manufacturers would listen to lobbying by motability to adapt their designs or listen to the needs of the disabled by allowing individual extras rather than useful items being lumped in packs of other stuff that doesnt make life easier and is so expensive it puts the useful item out of reach.

or is the danger we end up with a modern version of the blue invacar.

    any ideas?
