So everyone Ben saying that one of reasons AP so high is to offset loses on EV sales after lease

but prices rising…can we hope AP have reached there max ?

I was looking round after yesterdays failed attempt to find something on MB.

Still not sure I’d buy a used EV but there were several BTD Atto 3 Evo’s, 2026, delivery mileage (under 10 miles) around £25,500, that’s about £13,000 less than the new price!

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Deposit: £2,600, including broker’s fees.

Monthly payments: 47 X £449

Duration: 48 months

Mileage: 15,000 pa

Extra mileage: 11p/m

Insurance: £550 pa

 

Assumption I made – the Enhanced Mobility PIP will grow om average 4% during the leasing period.

With fuel prices, particularly diesel, being so high at present, it is no surprise that residual values of EVs have improved slightly, just as residual values of diesels have taken an adverse hit.

However, second hand EV prices have been so ridiculously low that an 8-9% improvement still leaves them at very cheap prices, as the example above shows.

@kezo ’73 / 24 Jaguar I-Pace, which was my first choice, was off my list right at the beginning due to non-existing customer service long before I bought a car from them.

Same ’23/ ’73 Lotus Eltere (sadly).

After driving kid’s BYD with its bing-bong turning left, bong-bing turning right, and very many other noises, I decided it is no go for me, although Sealion 7  was one of last options.

VW ID7 – I was unable to move the dealers on the pre-reg not even by £1.

So it is better the devil you know, I suppose.

I think that is typically VW attitudes of the past!

Interestingly, I looked at MG with my mum (she’s leaving the scheme) and they have hit the nail on the head with ProPilot custom, simply set the setting you want and then from there on its just one click away to turn off the fecking bing bongs.

I was thinking the normal MG lineup, I don’t think the IM’s are that great, so in that respect you dodged a bullet.

Apologies – I have meant both: our dealer has the “normal” MG and IM. MG MGS6  EV top trim was very nice inside, but the boot was no go.
