Just noticed this morning that the 2.0 TSi engine option has been removed from the SEAT car configuration tool for all models that previously had it as an option.

I’m not too surprised to see this as the move seems to be towards smaller turbo engines but I am a bit gutted as I was hoping to get one ordered before it disappeared.

It looks like it’s being replaced by the 2.0 TDi which wasn’t an option on the Leon before today and has only recently been added for the Ateca.

I expect Motability will be updated in due course.

After seeing Jamie & Michael’s lovely cars I thought I better upload some better ones rather that the earlier one after it just came off the transporter ?

Alfie, very nice 🙂  Think that’s the first time I’ve seen proper pictures of the silver interior on the Xcellence Lux, quite like the black on the other trims but it certainly brightens up the cabin.

Keep looking at all the photos and rave reviews makes the last week or so wait for ours feel like an age lol

Don’t forget we also have a members car thread as a sticky (under Forum favourites) for those that want to share car/model etc and it remains there long after other topics have moved of the first few pages, it’s a great place to see what our users have chosen.

So i got my car back from being ceramic coatings and during the process he took some photos of before and after, bare in mind the car was brand new when it went in for the treatment…here is a before and after of one section of imperfections found in the paint before a machine polish

Collected ours this afternoon 🙂  Really happy with it, the DSG will take a bit of getting used after years of driving a manual but so far so good and the DSG feels really smooth.  See what others mean about the performance, we needed to pass a cyclist and gave it some welly, took a second to shift gears and then woosh – we both looked at each other and said “bloody hell, this is quick” lol.

Anyway time for a pic, is only the back as that’s where the sun was shining….

Looks great in Boheme Purple T.J. So glad you & Mrs T.J got it at last.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine ?

Only problem is the number of times I have had to search pockets looking for the key…. Kessy is a great feature but not using the key to get in or start the vehicle means it’s usually left in yesterdays trouser or jacket pocket  ?

Great alloys, good looking car, I wish my Alhambra looked as good, but it needs its’ boxy shape and bulk to do what I need it to.

Alfie Boy, thanks for posting those pictures. I recently ordered an identical Leon, in Nevada White. I have a weakness for white cars, I don’t know what it is! Four of my five cars since I passed my test have been white haha

I wasn’t actually aware that the Xcellence Lux came with a silver interior. I didn’t notice it before, and my dealer didn’t mention it. He only had an SE Dynamic (I think) for me to take a drive in, so I haven’t even seen the Xcel. Lux alloys in person yet.

I was a little worried I wouldn’t like them, but your pics have put my mind at ease. It’s a lovely looking car, and now the first week in October (13 weeks from ordering) can’t come soon enough! No stock to be found anywhere, so it’s a new build for me.

Just had a call from my dealer. Provisional build date of week 40, two weeks after I should be picking it up.

Will have to consider my options.

    Thoughts?

WardyGTC, we had similar – our build week was the same one we should have taken delivery, total delay was about a month in the end but worth waiting for…  Living in a large city the DSG is so much nicer than a manual for everyday driving and the 2.0TSi has plenty of power when needed and the tech is brilliant.  My only criticism is some of the plastics feel a little cheap but overall still well put together, no doubt more VAG group politics to protect sales of the Golf.

If nothing else on the current price list takes your fancy then personally its probably still worth the wait.

I’m kind of leaning that way TJ, had a look this morning and nothing is leaping out at me so I guess we’ll just have to suck it up and wait.

I bet if I walked in and slapped £30,000 cash on the table they’d find one quicker.

Well after much deliberation we have cancelled our order with SEAT today. After compromising on the engine and colour the prospect of a 2 month delay was a step too far.

We are weighing up a few options this week and will update when a decision is made.

Then as if by magic the very next day the model I cancelled is removed from the scheme along with all but one of the estates. You have to wonder just what is going on at SEAT behind the scenes, they just come across as inept to me with all this.

Oh trust me, inept is the kindest thing you can say about seat dealers, I’ll NEVER have another seat again, even if it’s the best car in the world for no money, I will not spend 4 months being lied to and ignored again.

Got to say I enquired about a Motability test drive of the top spec Alhambra and I was told by the dealer, don’t bother the waiting list is far too long?

    Definitely put us off.

Think I’ve had a lucky escape there, it’s not just the dealer but the SEAT themselves chopping and changing their lineup every few days.

We’re off to Stratstone Mercedes Benz in Huddersfield tomorrow to order a B180 Sport Auto in Jupiter Red with a £500 AP discount. They seem confident they can have it built and delivered before then end of September, I don’t mind so much if it’s later as it’s a much nicer car.

Stratstone Mercedes at Huddersfield are who we use to for the other half’s little Smart ForTwo and I can’t praise them enough, prompt service, good communication and even done free work when they didn’t find a fault that we asked them to check for and threw some other work in for free at the same time, world’s apart from crappy Cars2 Seat in Wakefield.
