I just wanted to moan, last week Countryman Monkchrome Electric had lead of 12-15 weeks, I get to 15 weeks it is now 21-36weeks but only the latter applies.

So mucb was telling me to go with the Toyota urban cruiser but its too late now 🤷🏻‍♀️ They have the suzuki built on same platform but missing so many extras.

So if something keeps blocking trust your gut.

Have autism sorry if I upset you !

          (LUFC)

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is no longer available on the scheme.

Plus, looking back at the OP’s previous posts, they ordered the Mini in May 26 under the old scheme rules (60k miles per 3yr lease etc etc). If he/she now cancelled and ordered a new vehicle they would fall under the new scheme rules (30k miles per 3yr lease etc).

Not up to date with Toyota vehicles!

Maybe the Urban Cruiser will come back October?

I ordered my Countryman E Monochrome on 16th May and it’s in production. It seems some garages are getting them through quicker which isn’t at all fair. Mine is due to be delivered at the end of this month and is on schedule.

The dealer should have ( and may have) mentioned in may that there were already production delays with the monochrome not only because the Monochrome is a Special Edition:

But also because this trim is built in specific color batches (Midnight Black or Nanuq White) with fixed specifications, wait times can stretch further

Another main issue which was known in May is that they were quickly running out of black wheels as I understand it the supplier was unable to keep up with production demand

Also to add I was told the monochrome being a special edition was the most popular order in June

I suspect many dealers ( not all ) may want to skirt around such detail and simply just take your order

It seems to me that you are now in a one off unique catch 22 situation as BigDave has already pointed out above

You ( same here ordered Countryman SE in JUNE ) ordered the Mini countryman Monochrome in May 26 under the old scheme rules (60k miles per 3yr lease etc etc). If he/she now cancelled and ordered a new vehicle they would fall under the new scheme rules (30k miles per 3yr lease etc).

My SE ( ALL4) CLASSIC Countryman order was extended from Oct to mid Nov and although I have not yet been told

I suspect the detail below will to an extent help to explain the further delay ( nice to see they are being built in Germany )

You have to keep in mind that the MINI Countryman shares a single assembly line at the BMW Group Plant Leipzig with three BMW model ranges and the gas-powered version of the Countryman

But also to add to the mix

I now understand that the factory underwent a temporary five-and-a-half-week production pause for summer retooling and upgrades.
The Closure: Production at the BMW Leipzig Plant was temporarily halted for an extended summer break.
The Reason: Workers used the downtime to install 160 new robots and replace 240 lifting tables.
The Goal: The factory upgraded its lines to prepare for future electric vehicles and the “Neue Klasse” platform.

To Note for anyone interested ( This is all good stuff for the future but not for those waiting right now )

Neue Klasse is BMW’s first dedicated, clean-sheet electric vehicle (EV) architecture built to transform the brand’s next generation of battery-powered vehicles.

                Key Platform Features
800-Volt Architecture: Replaces older 400V systems to support DC rapid charging up to 400 kW, adding hundreds of miles of range in minutes.

Gen6 Battery Technology: Uses new cylindrical battery cells integrated directly into the floor structure for a 20% boost in energy density and reduced weight.

Centralized Computing: Relies on high-performance computers (“superbrains”) that multiply processing power over twentyfold for advanced software-defined vehicle controls.

Sixth-Generation Drive: Employs highly efficient electric motors, including rear electrically excited units without permanent magnets to improve environmental sustainability.

Personally I am pretty laid back as I already have a good car but tbh I feel more for those that do not

I will update here if/when my dealer updates the lead times

                IMO in your shoes

I would wait it out not only because of the unique pre july order circumstances pointed out by BigDave but also because the One off Monochrome itself is  ( was) a great deal ( think from memory that it was originally zero AP ) Also from memory it uniquely has tinted glass and some of the pack features inc as standard

Mini countryman electric U25 SE my latest lead time info for anyone that might be interested

New info I as usual had to chase and ask for having read other posts on this forum

My order was placed June 1st 3 months before my current 3yr lease end date which was due to end in Sep

2nd push back now ( bigger each time) I am informed that delivery is now expected mid Dec

( I suspect from my own detective work it may well be Jan but we will see)

I accept being an SE with white roof may have impacted things slightly but its a basic classic trim without added packs

It is what it is tbh

Having now looked closer at the factories complex build lines (4 different models and 3 different power trains share the exact same line) add to the mix a recent 2 week summer maintenance shutdown (New AI robot training in component manufacturing hoping to make high voltage batteries right there in the Leipzig plant  goal being to see if these robots are safe to work along 6,800 human employees if that plan fails I may be forced to look elsewhere) along with current supply issues and also a couple of safety recall issues and you start to get a glimpse as to why all the delays might be happening

I will not be shocked to see that pushed back yet again tbh

Ah well looking on the bright side

I Suppose its one way to be able to keep my current car for a bit longer  ( Leipzig woes are in effect just extending my current lease) which I love and to be able to extend even further the contract terms that were once enjoyed by everyone
