It would be upto the customer and dealer to agree a remedy (preferably in writing at the time of order) if for example, the vehicle does not arrive in time to meet the requirements of any offer.
One thing for certain is that Motability will not get involved as they do not condone dealers offering inducements or discounts/cashback etc off the published Motability advance payments. They simply will tell you any such offer/inducement/cashback etc is a matter between yourself and the dealer.
As with all such like offers a degree of ‘caveat emptor’ applies, hence the need to get such matters in writing at the time of order.
I’ve just got 500 off an a220d amg line in Yorkshire, had to be in stock and got digital white which is what I wanted, I was very lucky mind because they were the last dealer to get back to me on a list of about 20 so phew! One said in his four years as a motability salesman he’d never heard off discount of the a.p, i said in 2014 skoda gave me 500 off a 2.5k deposit on a superb and in 2017 vw gave me 500 off the 2.5k for their gtd, he was flabbergasted as though I was lying but I have written evidence of this discount so happy days ?
Hi, NJH do you mind sharing what this dealer is called? Also did they have any AP discounts on the Mercedes CLA?
Im new on here find this forum very good loaded with information. But for a reply to adam the problem with CLA is theres none instock iv been tying to get a CLA or a shooting break and every dealer are saying there out off stock. On Mercedes website there is some instock but dealers just saying build only.
Any haggle room for me with the dealer for Audi q3 this morning?

This is the 1st time we’ve done any offers. We are almost testing the water to see if it is works for us. So unsure when retailers would normally do offers.

Rav, offers come on randomly, some to clear stocks, but the best deals are around this time, and Q1, when the dealers are chasing the brands bonus rewards, which can and often is, more valuable than the profit on a car.
Hi, i sent emails to every dealer within 100 miles explaining what I wanted also what I’d had off previously, most of them replied to say nothing they can do about the a.p as it’s set which is true but I’ve had 500 off the last three I’ve had, admittedly they were high deposits but there’s always someone willing to give you discount, it’s just finding it then hoping it’s not too far away, I found my discount at jct600 mercedes Harrogate which is 45 miles from me which I’m happy to travel to, good luck with your search.

Is it worth me emailing 10 Toyota dealers near me asking for a discount on a £995 advance payment or free mudflaps ?
The reason I’d like free mudflaps is because I live near country roads with tractors etc that get quite mucky
