With Q2 upon us in 3 days, has anyone managed to obtain any pricing leaks?

I’ve seen a few people mention that the Skoda Enyaq AP might be going above £1000 in April. The dealer I ordered mine from also hinted at that, so it does sound likely.
They also suggested the lower spec models might disappear, which would explain the increase.
I’m personally waiting to see what happens with the Peugeot E-5008 pricing. If that comes down to something more affordable, I might be tempted to switch 😆
Will be interesting to see what actually happens when the list comes out!
March 28, 2026 at 7:53 pm #349614And from 1st July you add 20% VAT ?
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
March 28, 2026 at 9:33 pm #349625Dealer told me last week when I ordered that the SE L 85 will be 2.5k in April and they just found out that very morning
March 29, 2026 at 11:16 am #349644Its going to be interesting this quarter.
But everyone is distracted by the changes, whatever they may be.
For sure we will not know until after July.
I will wait and see what happens then. A lot are jumping ship now and we are not sure where the scheme will be until after July.
Given my lease ends in November-ish, i ll see what state the country and the scheme is in then.
March 29, 2026 at 11:23 am #349646I had a phone call from my Enyaq dealer yesterday. my car would be ready for pick up on the 2nd week in April is the reason he rang. He did say it’s a good job I ordered this Quarter as he said it will be 2.5k going forward. That’s just for the base SEL.
March 29, 2026 at 11:25 am #349648When did you place the order? I’ve been told the end of July but I have asked if he could put it back so I can hopefully get the new model features. He says he has requested it but will see. He also told me about the Q2 price the SE L will be which is a huge jump. I can’t imagine what the higher trims will become then.
March 29, 2026 at 11:28 am #349650I ordered on Jan 28th. He did say at the time would be around April / May so will have been around 12 weeks almost by the time I have it.
March 29, 2026 at 11:29 am #349651Fairly quick turnaround that. Nice!

Any particular reason for you to order a car from the factory – anything you could not find with Skoda’s new cars stock locator? See example below. I can guarantee if you call to at least three dealers, one of them will bring this car or any other you can clearly point out is in stock, to them.
In my case I originally called Oxford and they refused, claiming it is not for Motability etc. Then I called Reading and surprise – hours later I have signed all the papers using digital signature, without visiting the branch.

I can confirm that dealers can take cars off the ŠKODA UK Stock Locator, my Kamiq came directly from Emden in Germany, and was originally due to be sent to a dealer in Winchester before Weston called it into them. Mind you, I wish I’d have left it in Emden…
March 29, 2026 at 9:17 pm #349705When I went into my local Skoda branch (Crewe), to order my Enyaq. He said a week before a bloke drove down from Edinburgh to pick up a stock car as he didn’t want to wait. Fair round trip that is.

March 30, 2026 at 3:58 am #349715Yeah, i believe it when i see it.
As it stands, i very much doubt that we’ll see a fully equipped, 750hp (yes, 750hp, 553kw, 0-60 in 3.2 seconds) EV on the scheme for £2995 at a time when the scheme has to start penny pinching.
Prior: SEAT Ateca Xcellence Lux 1.5 TSI DSG MY19, VW Golf GTE PHEV DSG MY23
Current: Hyundai Ioniq 6 Ultimate
Next: we'll see what's available in 2028.March 30, 2026 at 5:32 am #349716When I went into my local Skoda branch (Crewe), to order my Enyaq. He said a week before a bloke drove down from Edinburgh to pick up a stock car as he didn’t want to wait. Fair round trip that is.
Its only a 3 hour train ride, not too bad.

Yes it seems far fetched.
But still …nothing wrong with keeping your fingers crossed ….

March 30, 2026 at 8:31 am #349719About time we had some leaks, my prediction big jump in AP just to price condition us for the July third quarter. We can blame on supply and demand due to the crisis in the Middle East.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

I said the same thing in one of the threads prices will shoot up just to come down a bit in July, you know because Motability are working so hard for us..

Fozzie I think AP will only increase slightly cushioned by the April quarter so it doesn’t look so bad.

March 30, 2026 at 10:53 am #349727Even though VAT only applies on cars handed over after July Motability price fix APs at the point of an application.
Since Motabilty don’t know which cars will be handed over they may have decided to increase all AP from 1st April to ensure they are not covering a large VAT bill
Or to put it another way, it’s more likely a large increase this time, and very little in July.

Surely you mean all orders after July will be subject to VAT, any orders prior to this date are non VAT payable by customer?
March 30, 2026 at 12:50 pm #350007It’s just my opinion, but I don’t see how they won’t price the AP high in April
My logic in assuming this is that sticker price in the UK doesn’t show any sales taxes, just the ‘final price’
It’s why when taxes on Petrol are reduced it doesn’t always go down at the pump immediately. There’s no legal reason for a petrol station to do so.
VAT is applicable to new leases from 1st July, but the car may be applied for today, and not delivered until after. The ‘sticker price’ aka the AP has to assume that it will be handed over afterwards.
The only difference then is if Motabiliy need to pass on the VAT to HMRC.
If it was for “1 or 2 cars” they’d probably take the hit, but it could be every car, especially if there are delays to supply…. so the safe option would be to make APs from April cover the cost.
Not what I want to happen, and feels a bit wrong, but from a business perspective, and they are a private company, a ‘smart move’
I hope I’m wrong.
March 30, 2026 at 1:16 pm #350010I’ve noticed some dealers are offering the Peugeot E-5008 on private lease for around £2999 upfront and roughly £299 a month.
So I’m wondering if that might have some impact on Motability pricing, possibly bringing the AP down a bit.
At the same time, it wouldn’t surprise me if some of the lower spec models disappear as well.
Just my thoughts though and will be interesting to see what actually happens in April.
March 30, 2026 at 2:16 pm #350012I’d love to see the IM6 or Smart #5 appear in Q2.
