I have just ordered , Via Motability, an all electric Nissan Ariya Advance, with the sky roof’ finished in Gunmetal grey metallic.
The retail price was cut by over £9000 last week , and as a consequence, the AP For a Motability lease has dropped by £1500 to £1,999 and as I am a big fan of Nissan ,this will be my seventh since 1971, ,100A 100A coupe, 120A, 160B Qashqai , Quasqai ePower, , covering over 200,000 miles without incident, and the car will be ready for Monday 1st of September – so a 75 plate.

August 25, 2025 at 8:54 pm #311788let us know how you get on mike, i can order at the end of feb and it looks more and more like another nissan. i have the juke hybrid n connecta at the moment and the options are another juke but the tekna or tekna + or the qq epower, or with the price reduction the ariya with the extended range i would only need to top up fortnightly although at public chargers, the other option that appeals is the ioniq 6 as its at a silly price at the mo.but i cant see that sticking once the facelift comes out. but the ariya with its high ride and centre consul would be more sensible with my back. but is bigger than i need really. the sensible choice would be stick with what ive got but wheres the fun in that lol.

I will jj
I looked at the Ioniq 6 and the Enyaq as well , but the 6 was just too  low and the Enyaq delivery times are ridiculous, and as the Ariya had come down so much,  it was a case of strike whilst the iron is hot? Or in this case, before the Government. gets rid of the subsidies?
August 25, 2025 at 10:59 pm #311791yes thats the only thing with the ioniq i can manage just about and once in the seats are so comfy. also the way i am going unless the gym and physio work i will need a wheelchair so may need something lower thats why its clinging on to my list lol.
that said i do like the higher centre consuls like in the ariya and getting up into it is easy. the juke i am used to and its the perfect size just a bit bland compared to the others. i was rather hoping the qq would come down a bit but we live in hope.

The car has been registered already for release on the 1st of September, ie a 75 plate but will only be delivered to the local dealership, for cleaning and a pdi on Monday.
So, I shall pick it up on Wednesday or Thursday and hand back the superb Qashqai epower , and I’ll put a couple of photos on the forum asap.
I have had a disability for around 20 years which creates a need to have a seat quite high off the ground, hence 5 years of Tiguan, preceded by 2x Volvo XC60’s & a Volvo XC90 ..
My Qashqai , although a first class piece of kit, does not have the bells and whistles of the Ariya ,with the Advance trim having electric seats which can be adjusted very simply , providing me with a comfortable driving position very easily and also an easy exit position, through quite wide doors.
Unfortunately, the Advance trim does not have memory seats, but they are still ok. With six different ways of helping!

LOL..
Prior to getting in you can use the button to move the seat back and once in, into your driving position – it’s called manual memory seats Mike😉
August 29, 2025 at 10:45 am #311944Your right!
August 30, 2025 at 6:35 am #311979Hope it goes well!
Put my first order in last Friday. Got a phone call to say the Q3 was coming off and I had till midday to make my decision. Strangely, it’s still available looking online.
Originally I was looking at the A3 saloon. Didn’t like the Q2 when I tried 3 years ago but I like how everything in the ‘cockpit’ on the Q3 is difference.I hadn’t even tried any other manufacturers this time round but with my father recently passing I was encouraged to get something soon.
I went for the black one edition (manual) Q3 and just got the lighting inside added. Quite a big AP!

Thanks,
I have the pack from Motability , with the PIN number etc, although it was already on ‘ My Online Account ‘ as was my mutually agreed appointment to collect the new vehicle, at 10.00 on Thursday.
Ohme have made an appointment to fit the home charger and the wheelchair has arrived at the dealership – I have a wheelchair at home, which I use a Couple of times a day – my legs get very weak sometimes as a result of losing an argument with a parachute back in 84!
It just made sense to me to take advantage of the Motability lightweight wheelchair offer of leasing an Excel G Force wheelchair for £100 , which I shall keep in the car ,in a bag ( £14 Amazon) , in case I need it ‘ on my travels’ ?

September 4, 2025 at 5:46 pm #312314September 8, 2025 at 9:45 am #312432Yeah it is a nice colour – the wife chose it – gunmetal – it seems to change with different lighting.
I am using standard and sport mode in D drive, as I did with the QQ and the car is returning 3.8 miles per KWh , which I understand is around 150 plus mpg equivalent?
This is only for the first 90 miles However, and the car is telling me that it has 156 miles left ?
Town and rural with A/C on full and quick getaway testing a couple of times from traffic lights ( sorry BMW drivers ) – not too bad I think?
The motorway will be the real tester though – but I should average 156 miles
Before topping up.The flat loading boot floor, is much larger in fact than that of the QQ,especially with the back seat down, I have a fitted QQ reversible boot mat, which really looks lost in the Ariya boot, but, as the QQ is slightly higher at the back end, the cubic measurement is greater in the QQ..

September 14, 2025 at 5:39 pm #312632Had my first go at public charging today – very nearly a disaster, but a quick call to the charger company, and all was well.
I paid £35 up front, plugged in and slid away for a nice full English with friends, only to come back and find that we had another 5 hours and 20 minutes to wait until the 80% ‘full’ happened!
Yup, tiny phone keys , old eyes and large fingers- I had pressed something incorrectly?
We couldn’t wait so I rang the ‘helpline ‘ and the very helpful Guy , immediately shut the charger off, remotely, and also immediately refunded. £27.97 to me , no argument, no question , no dispute, he just did it then and there , couldn’t ask for better service!
September 19, 2025 at 2:09 pm #312814Used the BP pulse rapid charge for the first time today – simple, easy to use but only to top up, with charges of .89 pkwh and £1.50 admin. Compared to overnight and other times at .07 pkwh at home – when they eventualLy fit a home charger?
