      Good morning all,

I live more than thirty miles away from the nearest kwik fit depot, does anyone know if I can use another company besides kwik fit.  I have been told by a friend that I could use ATS tyre service because kwik fit is not local to me ,  don’t know if that is true.  Grateful for any advice. Thanks.

Appreciate the quick response Glos Guy.  Been advised by kwik fit that Monday is the earliest they can come to repair a puncture because it’s not an emergency,  the car is outside my home.  I can get my son in law to put the spare wheel on and take the puncture to ATS which is less than a mile away,  but this costs me twenty pounds every time so I was just wondering if motability allow customers to use an alternative tyre company if kwik fit aren’t nearby ?. Thanks.

I think, I would be approaching this on the basis of what if your son in law wasn’t around i.e lived elsewhere in the country. I would then speak with Motability on the basis, your one having to deal with it and would be stranded if KwikFit couldn’t get to you for a few days, which could lead to a missed appointment and would they grant permission for you to use ATS under these circumstances.

According to the guidance from Motability, you can either A. Use Kwik Fit at a centre or B. Use Kwik Fit Mobile.
You can use STS Tyre Pros which are owned by Kwik Fit if that’s more convenient.
I would highly doubt that they would allow you to use ATS because Motability wouldn’t have a trade account with them and therefore payment would be difficult and it would be outside of their recommendations. It’s worth a call though.
