Hi, We currently have own Ford Fiesta which spouse is asking to replace with Motability car as not suitable for storage of my daughter’s wheelchair and we have to lift her to put in carseat every time. Wheelchair needs to be dismantled every time and there is not enough space to keep anything else especially on vacations. Our mileage isn’t much – we used 14-15000 in last 5 years. I am still considering whether it is worth to sacrifice £59.75 per week that we get. If we go for it then we will need Automatic spacious car with large boot space. Should be fuel efficient. And some adaptations so that we don’t have to lift her up. Can you please suggest some model without much advance payments.

Sammy If you like fords why not visit a large dealership and try out the entire range.
maybe the c max or focus active estate.
They also make a 1.0 turbo 3 cylinder engine that does 60+mpg.

best thing to do is just visit as many dealers as you can, bring your daughter and the chair etc.

Sammy ; if you like the Fiesta but fancy something a bit bigger but not too big – have a look at the stunning all-new Ford Puma. It isn’t on the Motability list just yet because Ford have only just started taking orders – but Ford are always really quick to put their new models on the list and it should appear within the next month or two. I am seriously considering it myself as my next car it’s that nice & ideal for my needs!

Motability told me the Puma is one of a number of suv’s coming on including the new Kuga.

                      Watch this space.

I remember when the first puma was released with the cool advert and accompanying tune

I must have just turned 20ish or something , I thought they looked great! A million times better than my pals rust bucket fiestas and Novas!

this was obviously long before the days of LED everything  , bags of tech at your finger tips and sharp/aggressive styling

actually saw one last month! It’s actually aged worse than me lol

but that new one looks good, and I’m sure will be popular!

I’d have a look at a Toyota Prius+ if I were you.  Over 60mpg and Hybrid so good for the environment. Gives you the choice of an extra row of seats to make it a seven seater or have them down and have a huge boot.  It’s currently available with £0  Advance Payment.
