Donkey Oatie suggested this pip question be better seared in the off topic section, So here we are .

I’m looking for advise for a friend they submitted a new pip application form dwp confirmed by text they received it on 9/11/20 they said in the text if you need to have an assessment with a health person they’ll be in touch .

They have not heard anything from dwp yet nshould they phone pip or just wait, it seams a long time

I’d just wait for now – they can be be quite a few weeks and expect they have a bit of a backlog at the moment as well.  Looking online it can be up to around 12 weeks.

They may not have to have one – not everyone does, my wife put her application in and after a while it came back as being awarded.

I phoned up about my friends pip form since they got it  on 20/10 , i phoned at 4pm I was on for just under. 2 hours for it to say we can’t heLp you because we’re closed now

I was so upset 2 hours for nothing
