The place to share what you’re doing, thinking, planning on a daily basis, with a group of sociable friends and acquaintances.

Electric bike rear wheel hub seized, resulting in spindle cutting away frame(guess soft metal) and out of warranty ?..rear frame part £150, rear bare wheel £350, then all the grief swapping everything, can’t be bothered so order a new one after years of use.

ajnNew bike ordered/delivered and set up, strangely had to swap the brake cables from the levers as the they were the wrong way around, the rear brake was connected to the right, and the front to the left..
All sorted

October 27, 2024 at 8:12 pm #292453Well I bought an LG 55 cheap thing about £300 or just under, it’s doing the job, watching the snooker on it now, this could end up in the bedroom, I’m impressed with it so the oled or whatever would be amazing, anyway let’s not start that off again 😆
October 27, 2024 at 8:24 pm #292454Agreed!
October 27, 2024 at 8:29 pm #292455I hope you have settled into your new house and things aren’t going bump in the night or worse still, the ex hasn’t decided to bunk up with you lol.

December 8, 2024 at 10:04 am #294695Well not this morning, last night…
1st ever Domino’s delivery order, the Christmas pizza..
Must say, very nice, will try others another time, maybe pick then though, lots of offers I think we missed out on, but used the 30% off, ordered extra stuff resulting in £35 seems pricey tbh..
December 8, 2024 at 11:08 am #294707I never, ever use pizza chains. Much prefer local independent pizza shops, especially thoses with stone bake ovens. I like a good baked base. These modern pizza machines wizz a pizza out in minutes, spongy horribe things. But back to independent pizza shops, they charge a lot less for a superior pizza.
It’s not often we have them, but when we do, we like it to be right.🍕🍕🍕

We had one of those through the door menus with the mail, seen the Christmas addition so ended up ordering..
£35 though large pizza, a side and two dessert type things.
However lots of offers on there, was slightly soppy, floppy and soggy but still nice after shoving a few pieces in the air fryer
December 8, 2024 at 4:09 pm #294724Pizzas here are from our local kebab house. How a village this small gets to have a kebabery I don’t know but he’s damn good. Always freshly baked and the thin and crispy really are. Drawback is no delivery, but he’s only two minutes away in the car so no prob’s.
December 13, 2024 at 5:53 am #294931Managed a few hours carp fishing with my Son yesterday, a few pics of a small close to the bank cheeky chap kept popping his head out almost teasing me..
December 13, 2024 at 5:57 am #294932However we finally met, and both parted with respect, not my thing carp fishing, but great to get out for a bit..
December 20, 2024 at 11:30 am #295175Blue badge renal due March 25.
All completed on line and paid for £10
On line saves so much running about if done via council office.

Mmm sun blaring through and a chilled Ale..

March 24, 2025 at 11:21 am #299946Something I forgot to post last week. I have now had Fibre to the Home installed. Yeah, at long last.
ISP of choice Is the awesome Zen Internet https://www.zen.co.uk/broadband/
The package I have gone with is the 910Mbps FTTH
I have to say it only took an hour to fully install. Fibre is brought in via telegraph poll connection. I am so pleased with the speed I am getting. Throughput: ↓ 1.00 Gbit/s ↑ 1.00 Gbit/s so way more than the 900MBPS
Everything is so fast. Streaming 4K and gaming, Oh man what a world of differance it has made to that.
Wireless is super fast too and great coverage around the house and garden.
Price £50.00 per month on 18 month contract. No annual price increases, in fact no increases ever.
There are of course cheaper packages available with Zen internet. If you are interested in top rated ISP year after year, with brill customer suport and tech support. Then give them a try,
Joss
