the omoda 9 is on the omoda website under their motability section but no AP yet or when demonstrators will be in dealers. It’s got a lot going for it but i think with a £45k retail price, the AP will probably be high. very few reviews on social media – maybe one to watch

June 26, 2025 at 6:25 pm #307234Quite surprised that Omoda 9 is not going to be on the scheme. Considering it’s a great way for companies to get cars on the road in the UK for people to see. There has been no mainstream review on social media. I was considering this or a Mazda cx60 or Skoda Kodiaq, guess just two to choose from.
Considering it’s cost I believe if folk were looking at a car outside of the scheme Omoda 9 would be low on people’s list, if they even new of it existing at all. I only heard if it because of motion clarity posting about new cars coming to the scheme.

To be fair for the car you’re getting it’s gonna be worth it spec wise! Cost more on a BMW etc for the same tech inside

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesJune 26, 2025 at 9:08 pm #307250i think i’ve seen every youtube, tiktok, insta review & motoring press article on the Omoda 9 in recent months.
I think it’s a fantastic car with some amazing tech, space, quality and fantastic specification. Whilst the RRP pricepoint i feel when it comes onto the scheme the AP will be high for sure – probably £4-6k imho. I feel the AP may going down, if pitched too high initially and / or some Omoda dealerships will incentivise with AP reductions / discounts (as what happened with the smaller cheaper Omoda 5 & sister Jaecoo 7).
My next lease – my first choice is the Peugeot 3008 GT hybrid (i’ll be travelling 250 miles for the best service and discounts to Tim Scott at Barnsley Peugeot – unless the Omoda 9 is a realistic AP when the time comes.
As others have said when new models come on the scheme, it can be an easy win to get them on the road & visible through the scheme – moreso if new entrants in the UK market for a brand.
Only time will tell 🙂
June 26, 2025 at 9:58 pm #307252I agree with you, although I think 4-6k is a fair deposit for such a car and tech etc
I would how ever put you away from the Peugeot though, the cars as a complete cluster of issues etc
Myself and my wife had them and both mechanically rejected

There’s only going to be one model, with a single specification, basically everything thrown on.After reading the spec list, I don’t think any other car could compete, if comfort and convenience is your thing. A 600ltr boot, even before moving seats.
Sounds quite interesting to me, as my QQ is up in April 2026.

I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.June 29, 2025 at 7:36 am #307361I went to my local omoda dealer in hull today and they said it definitely isn’t going to be on motability as its their “flagship” model
