hi all happy new year.
well as they say some good some bad.
personnally the results are mixed
the c3 and c3 aircross have gone up the c3 is stil 0 ap ut the weekly is up and the aircross is up to £627 which is very top end for me.
the juke tekna hybrid also up to £597 also up there
the qq nconnecta isnt bad at £347
mg zs hybrid+ trophy is the bargain as its gone down to £97.00.
but the cat amongst the pidgeons is mini.
countryman classic level 1 £847
countryman 1.5c excl £647
countryman 1.5c sport £897
cooper classic 1.5 level 1 £397
cooper 2.0s £597
cooper jcw 2.0 £2397
now i cant stretch to the jcw but the other plus some of the electric countrymans prices make it worth a visit to the showroom and a reassessment of budget although the mg test drive will be very interest ing.
on the whole not too disappointed.

ok now i know electric isnt the most sensible for me as i cant charge at home but !!!!
my mileage has gone through the floor since i was made redundant and i cant see it going up much.
ive been out 10 times in dec probabley done 150 miles if i am lucky.
so i am looking at the electric countryman claimed 280 range realistic prob 225.
even at public charging its not going to cost me as much as petrol used to cost ignoring the mileage drop i was paying £60 per month so even if i pay that in charging for the reduced mileage i am no worse off.
the 150kw e classic 66kwh at 0ap and £81.46 and the 150kw monochrome 66kwh the same. are atractive.
a bit extra £397 gets the 150kw e sport 66kwh.
i need to go through the specs but along with the mg zs hybrid +trophy they are up there considering everything else has gone up.
i am off to mini tommorrow lol.
January 1, 2026 at 8:37 am #325779Well I’ve just read all the new prices on the search saw Toyota sadly new aygo hybrid not on or new urban cruiser but the Suzuki version is on the biggest bargain is the Kia EV4 my goodness the Kia motability will be busy . Happy new year everyone
January 1, 2026 at 9:13 am #325783ok been through the usul serch now , auto,petrol/hybrid small and medium suv, wpms etc and a couple of newbies. honda enter the fray
honda zr-v 2.0 elegance £327 and the honda hrv advance £0 ap £84.83 weekly. need to check the specs but a bit of a suprise.
so the list is now:
c3 max hybrid £0 ap
c3 aircross max hybrid £627 increase.
juke tekna hybrid £597 increase
quashquai epower nconnecta £347
honda zr-v 2.0 elegance £327
honda hrv advance £0ap £84.83 weekly.
mg zs hybrid+trophy £97 reduction
mg hs hybrid+ trophy £47 reduction omg.
left field option mini countryman electric monochrome £0 ap £81.46 weekly or the mini countryman classic the same cost and the mini countryman 150kw e sport 66kwh £397. i need to check the specs of the hondas and the countrymans but for me an interesting quarter i can order on 28 feb so i am quite pleased which makes a change lol.
January 1, 2026 at 9:14 am #325784The MG HS Hybrid + at £47 (WPMS) surely has to be the bargain of the century.
Current car: MG HS Exclusive in nice shiny black. 🙂
January 1, 2026 at 9:35 am #325785i know i have a test drive booked for the zs but couldnt beleive it today when the hs ws even cheaper go figure.
both are a bit bigger than i need and the cockpit display doesnt impress like the c3 aircross but you have to say they are loaded with kit so cant be ignored. i need the test drive though as when i sat in it in the showroom there was a little niggle down lower back so i need the drive.
i will ring hm tommorrow and see if we can do the hs as well.
January 1, 2026 at 9:46 am #325787Unfortunately we cannot order until the April next quarter, however, I would imagine the EV4 AP will shoot up, alternatively it could make the other EV manufacture reduce their prices.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
January 1, 2026 at 11:03 am #325791Looking at the current prices i’m just so glad i had to end my previous lease early (Admin fee £250) in Jun 25 for the Skoda Enyak Sportline 85x (facelift)……have you seen how much the AP is now….£5799.
January 1, 2026 at 11:05 am #325792Enyaq 85x, Maxx was £2899, now £6499
January 1, 2026 at 11:17 am #325794The MG HS Hybrid + at £47 (WPMS) surely has to be the bargain of the century.
Can’t remember, if you ordered another prior to Xmas?
both are a bit bigger than i need and the cockpit display doesnt impress like the c3 aircross but you have to say they are loaded with kit so cant be ignored.
What do you like about the C3 Aircross cockpit?
The HS would be too big, the ZS sits around Qashqai size (50ish mpg)
January 1, 2026 at 11:27 am #325795Not sure if it’s a new price for this quarter, but £749 for the Skoda Enyaq 85 SE L is a bargain. I wonder if removing the Coupe version has made them lower prices due to loss of sales.
January 1, 2026 at 11:28 am #325796There’s some craziness around.
Ford Explorer is pricing by spec level, ignoring battery sizes. The Premium is £4,995 for either the 52kWh or 77kWh batteries and the Premium with Drivers Assistance Pack (which includes more than just the electronic annoyances) is £5,695 regardless of battery. I guess they’re not expecting to sell the smaller battery version.
The Ariya returns in only Advance but if you go for the bigger battery for the extra £500 you can get the Sky Pack for free, so your options are with/without opening sunroof at no extra cost.
Enyaq pricing is bizarre there’s little difference between the SEL with the Suite/Pack and the Edition Suite but one is £2699 the other £4199.

January 1, 2026 at 11:33 am #325797your not looking down through the steering wheel its not exactly a hud in the normal sense that sits above the dash but its above the steering wheel right in your eyeline very easy to read. also the das is fabric covered and has a bit less black plastic. the c3 and aircross is more budget in so far as kit is concerned but i did lke the ride particularly in the c3. the increase in ap has probabley pushed the aircross out. the reduction in ap has pushed the mg’s up to the top purely for cost and bang for buck. it will all depend on the test drive. the only doubt i have is the expance of black in the cockpit and a small niggle about the seats in the zs. but i am going to have another look at the hs because £47 ap is bonkers.
the other option is down to i admit a bit of badge snobbery i do like minis and there are a couple of options that i have to check out in the countryman. i know i know i chastised all the bmw fanboys so i have to hold my hand up on this one.

We were going to order the petrol Countryman in December but couldn’t make 8t too the showroom. Anyway, to get the heated seats and a few other options that we need it was something like £2700. Looking now, the Monochrome electric one comes with all those options and is £0 AP, so is a winner for us!
January 1, 2026 at 11:50 am #325800@kezo this is the c3 cockpit.there is still black plastic but theres 2 strips and a thin shelf thats fabric and i just liked the semi hud.
January 1, 2026 at 11:58 am #325801@basilfawlty, i know its mad and i noticed they all have electric tailgates now. and the monochrome has hud.
heated washer nozzles are another nice to have. i have filled out the form for a test drive in the monochrome and the petrol 1.5c exclusive £647 wpms. but now dobbies have chargers the monochrome could work for me.
January 1, 2026 at 12:33 pm #325806Mini JCW IS £3999 VW as said before polo GTI gone and not much choice there only silly 1ltr R petrol.
January 1, 2026 at 1:38 pm #325809Nissan Micra STARTING at £4295. 😂 😂 😂
January 1, 2026 at 1:46 pm #325810I did expect the micra, 4 & 5 to have dropped considerably this quarter. They are way cheaper on a private lease than motability.

Yes, see what you mean now!
The HS is indeed bonkers at £47 and with similar c.50mpg reported by @ajn. Moving up a class has many benefits and generally more comfortable, if the size fits into your daily life why not!
January 1, 2026 at 2:46 pm #325819@kezo , ihave to say this quarter is not what i expected, i thought all prices would go up and i would be in bother. the 2 favourites on my initil list the juke tekna and c3 aircross are pretty much out of the reckoning.
the 2 mg’s have to be test driven but are up there pureley from a level of kit basis. i will keep the c3 on the list for the price and it has most of what i need just not some of the nice to haves on other cars.
the hondas not sure about i will have a look but the mpg is on the low side.
the bolters are the countryman’s suprised at the price and the uprate in basic kit electric tailgates a big plus. the electric ones pricewise are the cheapest 0ap 81.46 a week. so get a test drive the rest is down to i do like a mini..
January 1, 2026 at 2:47 pm #325820The KIA EV4 is a bargain just a pity its not the sportback version but even so i would bite that bullet if i was in the swap window.

----------------------------January 1, 2026 at 3:35 pm #325830Im suprised they have the JCW on the scheme. How long until the daily fail et al get wind and write how dare they have a fun car on the scheme?
January 1, 2026 at 3:38 pm #325833Only disappointing thing about the EV4 is that you can’t get the GT Line S, which means you miss out on a number of things (the heat pump availability for example) and there is no way to add some of the missing stuff (memory seats for example) onto the other versions.
In a perfect world you could add memory seats, heatpump and the HUD to the Air trim. But that’s not how Kia do stuff :(.
Plus, and I know it’s a bit ‘marmite’, I prefer the fastback version’s design haha.
January 1, 2026 at 4:53 pm #325840It is only Motability customers want EVS that is why europe is bringing back petrols, as to why is jcw is back on scheme we should still all have choice and remember the gov wanted us to buy support british assembled cars.

The C3 if memory serves right is mild hybrid, the 145 in the aircross is full hybrid.
The 2l ZRV hybrid is 40-45mpg and HRV is closer to 50mpg. Theres a thread on the ZRV if you search.
Bothe MG’s will be economical, as they can operates in parallel hybrid mode, where the electric motor assists the petrol engine, and in series hybrid mode, where the electric motor drives the wheels (Think Nissan E-Power).
Not sure having electric is the right thing for you to do, when you have no way of charging at home and in the event of feeling unwell having to go out to charge, especially if you need to makr gp or hospital appoinment, but that decision is yours to decide.
